Blog Tour: Jodi Ellen Malpas's "Gentleman Sinner."

The Hopeless Romantics Book Blog are pleased to be part of the Blog Tour for Jodi Ellen Malpas's "Gentleman Sinner."

Synopsis:

An all-the-feels novel of fierce love overcoming a dark past from the author of the #1 New York Times bestselling THIS MAN series.

Izzy White knows of the darkness in this world. After all, she escaped it long ago. Determined not to let her past beat her, Izzy has a secure, stable life with a job she loves in nursing. But one act of kindness will completely upend everything she's so carefully built-putting her right back in the crosshairs of danger she's been so desperate to avoid.

When Theo Kane shows up like a knight in shining armor, Izzy can't help thinking she's been saved from one threat and exposed to another. His imposing physique, the harsh lines of his face, and the wariness of everyone who comes close are just a few clues to Theo Kane's notorious reputation. The man is positively terrifying. But with Izzy, he's tender and a complete gentleman, and her fascination with the mysterious beast of a man becomes too powerful for her to walk away.

As Theo's demons come to light, running becomes even more impossible. And yet staying together could doom them both.

Review: Jo

Jodi Ellen Malpas never fails when it comes to delivering both a gorgeous leading man and a story that will leave you breathless. As soon as I met the beautiful alpha, Theo Kane, I was captivated by him and I immediately thought that I had figured him out. I stupidly thought that I knew how his story would play out, but I guessed wrong. "Gentleman Sinner" was a whole lot more than I bargained for. With a passionate romance and a surprising twist around every corner, this novel took my on one hell of an exciting ride. Nothing about this book was as predictable as I had first anticipated.

"I will treat you like a queen and fuck you like a whore."

When it comes to creating an all out alpha book boyfriend, Jodi is one of the best. Each hero that she has given me has been one that I've easily fallen for, but for me, alongside Jesse Ward, Theo Kane is my favourite. I loved every single thing about him. From the overbearing way in which he entered Izzy's life, to the vulnerable side that I later discovered. It was impossible not to love this man. When I first met Theo, he had an air of mystery surrounding him. I knew that there was a lot to learn about this intriguing man and I was eager to uncover every bit of information about him. I have a feeling that Theo Kane will be stealing a lot of hearts come release day.

"I'm damaged, and you, you gorgeous, normal woman, somehow loves me...
I don't understand it."

Izzy was the true heroine of the story. Determined to rescue Theo from his demons. I loved Izzy. She was a down to earth character that I could easily imagine being friends with. I enjoyed getting to know her, especially loving the dynamics of her friendship with Jess. They seemed like they had a lot of fun together, but also had each other’s backs and were there for one another through bad times, which as I discovered, Izzy had more than her fair share of.

"Without love, we are nothing. Without him, I feel like nothing.
I'm just a woman content with hiding in the shadows of life."

Izzy and Theo's relationship progressed quite quickly. It was almost insta-love, yet at the same time, it was very much believable. When you meet the right guy, there is no slowing down the lust and love you feel for each other, and with Theo, Izzy had definitely found the one. I adored how much Theo loved Izzy. I loved their connection and their chemistry was off the charts. The pair shared so much passion for one another. Theo and Izzy were both smokin' hot and fiercely in love. A lethal combination for anything that would come between them.

"She is my peace. My cure. My love. Do you understand, Izzy?
Do you realise how I feel about you?"

The story that unfolded was one that had me biting my nails one minute, and the next I was swooning over Theo and Izzy's romance. There was also a part that almost broke my heart. This romance was jam packed with twists and turns. There wasn't one dull moment throughout the entire story. It was gripping and emotional. A story that was impossible to put down. It will be amongst my top reads of 2019 for sure.

Gentleman Sinner gets ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ from me.
