Series Review: Surj

I've just finished the JA Huss's "Jordan’s Game" series and considering I wasn't particularly fussed about reading these books, I just want to shout from the roof tops how bloody brilliant every single  story was. I was so reluctant to pick up the series because in my head The Turning series was done  and dusted and I wasn’t sure where this author could possibly take this spin off set of books. Plus I wasn’t really sure how I felt about Jordan either. Anyway I got the first book when it was free some time ago and still didn’t read it. More recently I decided my time of buying books was over and I was going to read books I already had on my kindle. Well I shouldn’t have read "Total Exposure" because it was like opening Pandora’s box!!!! I ended up buying the whole series and I didn’t care. I’ve read all four books back to back in the space of just over a week and I have loved each and every one of them. They were wirth every single penny!!!! 

It’s insane. It’s stupid teenage love. It defies logic and therefore, 

it isn’t real. It’s the situation we’ve been thrown into. It’s the game.

Each book in the "Jordan's Game" series  offered up something different and each one was unique in its own right. How Ms Huss did it I don’t even know. I don’t have a creative bone in my body so I’m always gob smacked and in awe of people that do. This author is a genius. She keeps coming out with these books and I keep wondering whether the next book is the book that will sound like something she's written before but it never is!!!! I know I'm rambling but this series was just so fresh and new. There were none of the usual tropes. The plots were captivating and so darn suspenseful and even the writing was different but still good.... no, scratch that, it was excellent. 

...we're in this together. Fully invested in the watched-watcher dynamic. 

Fully committed to whatever this is. Sick fantasy or inevitable solution, 

it doesn't matter because it's ours

I loved how one story was jam packed with humour and the next was full to the brim with heart ache.  I adored the fast pace of one book and the slower savouring pace of the next. Oh and I just could not get enough of  the sensual heat that oozed from the pages of every single story told in this series. The plots were cunning and the writing clever with each story adding a piece of the puzzle that lead to the great big reveal in the final book!!!! Whoa!!!!! What in the actual f**k?1?1? Yup prepare for the element of surprise because yet again, JA Huss got me!!! 

The kind of sexual ride I like to take comes with a dark underbelly. 

I like to lose control a little. I like to walk the edge.

I know I've rambled. I'm sure this review makes little sense if any but if you take one thing away from reading this is that YOU MUST READ THIS SERIES!!! It's one of my all time favourites. You need to meet Ix and Evangeline, Finn and Issy, Lawton and Oaklee and of course Jordan and Alex and Augustine!!!! 5 ❤️ 's really doesn't do this series justice. In a over crowded market place, to come up with different is hard. To come up with different time and time again leaves me at a loss for words and needing to give this series all of the stars!!!!! 

We are a chain reaction of past into present into future. 

A single bond becoming double, becoming triple, becoming complete.
