Blog Tour: Emma Chase's "Royally Matched

The Hopeless Romantics Book Blog are pleased to be a part of the Blog Tour for Emma Chase's "Royally Matched (Royally #2)."

Synopsis:

Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry Charles Albert Edgar Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.

He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to force her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora goes on a much-needed safari holiday—and when the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world's most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.

While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.

The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit…and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.

As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

Review: Kirsty

This book was a great sequel to Royally Screwed.

Having previously met Prince Henry in Royally Screwed, I was already excited to read this book and find out what kind of journey he was going to go on to find his love!

"What a strange pair we are. The sad boy and the frightened girl."

Sarah and Henry's relationship, for me, kind of came out of nowhere. They are such an unlikely pairing, but it worked so well. Henry's wild ways, and Sarah's quiet, shyness complimented each other perfectly. The storyline itself, I wasn't a huge fan of. Henry embarks on a TV series to help him find love. Here he meets Sarah and her sister Penelope. Penelope is a contestant, with Sarah coming along to keep track of her, and almost fade in to the background. I really didn't find the whole thing all that believable. For starters, what member of any royal family is really going to go for something like this? I certainly didn't think many.. Regardless of my feelings, it did have me laughing and I did find it worked well in this book, but I certainly couldn't see the characters as royalty!

Back to the relationship between Sarah and Henry.. it was very slow moving, and didn't feel rushed in any way. They took the time to work up to any kind of physical relationship, making sure they really knew each other beforehand. Sarah was extremely sceptical, but Henry knew what he wanted and went for it.. and that was Sarah.

"He could crush me; the foreshadowing is clearly written. It’s a tale as old as time:
the inexperienced bluestocking and the bed-hopping rogue. Bloody hell, I’m a trope."

All in all I did think this was a great book, however there were a few things that I didn't enjoy.. but I was easily able to look past those. I rated "Royally Matched" ❤️❤️❤️❤️
