Synopsis

Being engaged to Alex Waters, team captain and the highest paid NHL player in the league, is awesome. How could it not be?

In addition to being an amazing hockey player, he’s an incurable romantic with an XL heart, and an XXL hockey stick in his pants. And he knows how to use it. Incredibly, orgasmically well. Alex is the whole package and more. Literally. Like his package is insane. Total world record holder material.

So it makes complete sense that Violet Hall can’t wait to nail him down to the matrimonial mattress and become Mrs. Violet Waters.

It’s so romantic.

Violet is totally stoked to set a date.

Eventually. At some point. Likely before the next millennium. Or when Violet stops getting hives every time someone brings up the wedding, and their mothers stop colluding on stadium sized venues. Whichever comes first.

Review: Jo

"I'm going to spend the rest of my life loving you , Violet Hall."

Last year, I devoured the first three book in the "Pucked" series, loving every single one; so as you can imagine, I was beyond excited to hear that there would be another instalment in the hilarious story. When "Forever Pucked" hit my kindle, I immediately got stuck in and now that I have read it, I have to be honest and say that I have mixed views about how I truly feel so I will start with the positives.

"I love you, baby. Never change. Especially not your sex volume."

As always, Violet and Alex were as adorable as ever and I just loved catching up with the rest of the gang again. I really do feel like this bunch of ice-hockey folk are like my real friends. I love each and every single one of the characters and enjoyed getting the opportunity to see how life was treating them, especially the couples. I was itching to find out if their love remained after I had turned the final pages of their books. It truly made me so happy to read this story and share in the gangs hectic and entertaining life again. I enjoyed every single thing that I read and I am so glad that Helena gave me the chance to revisit with a bunch of people that I have taken to my heart. I suspect that Helena enjoyed writing this series just as much as her readers have enjoyed reading it, so who can blame her for wanting to write more from such popular and loveable characters. Which brings me to why I have mixed views of this book.

As much as I enjoyed reading "Forever Pucked", I have to admit that it was a long ass read and Helena did save the best bits till last which made me wonder if maybe a full out story was really necessary. I can't help but feel that maybe I would have enjoyed a novella just as much, because as lovely as revisiting Violet, Alex and the rest of the crazy crew was, I didn't feel like I gained anything new, nothing that couldn't have been put into a novella. Of course, this is just my personal opinion and it doesn't take anything away from how I felt about the actual book because I still have enjoyed everything that I have read, I just felt that it was a little too long for me, but I know that others will love it.

"It's amazing how a poorly thought out one-night stand
can turn into a forever kind of love.
Because that's exactly what Alex is: my forever.

"Pucked Forever" is a fun addition to the series that fans will love and it gets ❤️❤️❤️❤️   from me.
