Blog Tour: Monica Murphy's "Never Tear Us Apart (Never Tear Us Apart #1."

The Hopeless Romantics Book Blog are pleased to be a part of the Blog Tour for Monica Murphy's "Never Tear Us Apart (Never Tear Us Apart #1."

Synopsis:

Perfect for readers of Colleen Hoover, Jay Crownover, and K. A. Tucker, the first novel in this darkly sexy contemporary series from bestselling author Monica Murphy kicks off an emotionally powerful two-part tale of forbidden love.

Crazy how eight years can disappear in an instant. One look at Katie Watts, and I’m a fifteen-year-old again—the one who risked everything to save a terrified girl from her twisted kidnapper. She’s grown-up now—beautiful, quiet, composed—and telling her story to the world. A story that involves me in more ways than you can imagine. She used to call me her guardian angel. Sure, I risked my life, but she was worth dying for.

I need to make contact with her. Just to ensure that she’s safe.

Somehow we reconnect. We become friends . . . but I want more. I want to make her mine. And she wants me too. Does she know who I am? Has she figured me out? Not yet. But she will. In the meantime, I need to make sure that whatever hold that animal had on her is gone.

So, yeah, I’m stealing these moments with her. Savoring them. Knowing, dreading, that she’ll soon find out who I really am. And everything will fall apart. All because of that twisted, perverted monster sitting on death row. Her kidnapper. A convicted serial killer.

My father.

Review-Jo

I knew within the first few pages of this book that it was a little different to anything I had previously read from Monica Murphy and I was absolutely loving the change. I was intrigued by the story and couldn't wait to continue. "Never Tear Us Apart" was a heartbreaking, yet at times beautiful story and I cannot wait for the conclusion to Ethan and Katie's story. I am desperate for them to find their HEA.

Katie Watts. Pretty. Blond. Innocent. Sweet and trusting and needing me so damn bad.
She was the one I kept chasing like a drug. She was the one I could never have.

When I first started to discover the harrowing events that Ethan and Katie had both endured, my heart went out to them. Poor Katie's world had been crushed by something so evil that she would be haunted for the rest of her life. Katie was the sweetest girl with a beautiful heart, despite her horrific experiences. My heart cracked many times as I read what awful things had happened to her and what she was continuing to go through. Katie demonstrated so much strength and courage and how she remained to be so kind hearted and lovely when she so easily could have fallen apart proved how resilient she truly was.

Never before have I wanted to do something like this.
Have wanted a man to touch me, learn my body, kiss my lips, stir my soul.

Although Ethan had a pretty messed up childhood he had grown into a caring and loving adult, who was determined to protect Katie from any more harm. He had been Katie's hero once upon a time and he desperately wanted to be her hero again, to fulfil his role as her guardian angel. I loved this man with a big heart and I wanted nothing more than for him to find happiness with Katie but the more the story progressed the more frustrated I became with what Ethan was doing. I knew that there was a strong chance things could end in tears for the pair. I was willing for everything to work out for this gorgeous couples relationship, but at the same time I was anxious for their future. I knew that things were never going to be plain sailing. My heart bled for the couple and the situation that they were in.

I know it's wrong, but I'm tired of denying myself.
I'm tempted to go after what I want. And what I want is Katie.

If you are looking for an emotional read to start the year off, "Never Tear Us Apart" is the one for you. I loved Katie and Ethan's story, the only downside is that I have to wait for the final part. Please let it be a happy ending for Ethan and Katie. I don't think I can think of another book couple that deserves it more.

I don't know if I'll ever recover from this. I do know that I'll never be the same.

"Never Tear Us Apart" gets ❤️❤️❤️❤️
