Review: Kirsty

I am on such a high after finishing this book. I thought it was so beautiful.

“When you find love, you take it. You grab it with both hands and you do
everything in your power not to let it go. You can’t just walk away from it
and expect it to linger until you’re ready for it.”

I have read every book Colleen has written, and loved them. Some more than others, but I can honestly say that this was my absolute favourite of hers, by a long shot. It has been so long since I picked up a book and just read and read, until I finished, but that is exactly what happened with November 9. I couldn't put it down without forcing myself. I was completely and utterly hooked.

This book is told in such a unique and clever way, I've certainly never read anything like it. Fallon and Ben meet on November 9th, in the most unusual of ways, but a way in which I thought was brilliant. Their story was so unique. They strike up one of the most surreal romances, but one with the deepest of connections, but it isn't all plain sailing. They each have their own things going on, and agree to separate as such, but meet up the next year, on November 9, and every year after until they reach 23. They will have no way of contacting each other in that time, but will have an agreed time and date of meeting. I loved the premise of this book, I can't say that enough. I was so looking forward to reading about the year that each of them had, and where the next year would take them.

“You can’t leave yet. I’m not finished falling in love with you.”

The relationship between Fallon and Ben was so beautiful. I can't really use any other word to describe it. They fell for each other hard and fast. Of course they had their ups and downs, and the last 20% of this book was a huge roller coaster, one I wasn't prepared for in any way. I knew there was a twist coming, and once I started to read it, I had figured parts of it out, but the way Colleen actually wrote it, and told us about it, was brilliant. There were twists and turns at every corner. I couldn't read fast enough, I had to find out how this book could possibly end in a good way. Would Fallon and Ben find a way to accept their entwined past, and have a future? I really wasn't sure how they could.

She’s the only one I want with me today, and here she is. Just for me.
Because she missed me. If she’s not careful, I just might beg her to stay. For good.

I don't want this book to be the end, and I am quietly hopeful that it won't be, thanks to the little "Not the end, far from it." note at the end of the book. Please, Colleen, give us more!

I’m in love with her. Like, really in love with her.
Crippling, debilitating, paralyzing love.

I rated "November 9" ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
