Blog Tour & Giveaway: Kristen Ashley's "Ride Steady (Chaos # 3)."

The Hopeless Romantics Book Blog are pleased to be a part of the Blog Tour & Giveaway for Kristen Ashley's "Ride Steady (Chaos # 3)."

Synopsis:

The ride of her life . . .
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.

Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . . .

Review: Surj

Kristen Ashley's "Ride Steady" was quite literally like coming home. The minute I turned the first page, that sense of familiarity consumed me. There was a warmth that spread from my head right down to my toes, the smell of a leather cut infiltrating my nose. The sounds of those harley pipes ringing deep within my ears and of course seeing "Ride" clear as day in my mind with all the colourful characters that belonged there... yup, it was like walking through my front door... like I said... HOME.

"One day Carson Steele, you're going to be a magnificent man. I don't know how that will be.
You could be president. You could eradicate disease. Or you could be a master mechanic
who builds amazing cars. but whatever it is, it will happen. I believe it."

Carissa and Joker's book was classic KA and with all those magical ingredients only a KA book has, I loved every single bit of it. The heart ache, the angst, the promises of a better life, the drama, the hotness, the humour, the whole lotta testosterone flying around... every single bit of it was worth five hearts if not more. Honestly, this has got to be my favourite of the Chaos series and to say that is tough because I love my Chaos boys and their leading ladies.

So yeah... "Ride Steady" gave us Joker (Carson Steele) and Carissa's story. Now these two had history... not that kind of history but even as teenagers they'd felt an unwavering connection. From different walks of life though, their paths had taken them in very opposite directions. Carson Steele joined Chaos MC and found a sense of belonging, his life changing for the better and Carissa.. well Carrisa's life unfortunately didn't go how she had planned. In fact by the time her path crossed with one very hot but very scary biker, she really had hit rock bottom. And so began the process of this couple reconnecting and falling in lurve... something KA knows how to write so damn perfectly. Was it straight forward? Hell no. Throw into the mix a stupid ex that wouldn't go away, MC trouble that was rumbling in the background, oh and a very cute baby by the name of Travis and I got a book that was unputdownable.

"... I don't like butterflies. They're beautiful, but they're delicate,
and I don't got it in me to handle anything with care."

Joker and Carissa were brilliant leading characters that was just so relatable. Each of them had their strengths, each of them had their flaws and each of them had a vulnerability that pulled at the heart strings. It was difficult not to be affected by everything this couple had been through as individuals and everything they would go through as a couple but thank the lord for the 'Chaos" family because it was the unconditional love and support of this group of amazing people that what would help see the couple  through some very tough times. Yup, once the MC claims you, you're in for life and that was the kind of family Carissa needed in her life. People on her side to help her sift through all the crap that was being thrown at her. To take her side and of course to help her shop... lol. I loved how Tyra, Lanie, Elvira (yes freakin' Elvira.. god I love that woman), Tabby and the rest of the crew took Carissa under their wing, no questions asked. Unfortunately with these women often came trouble so expect some laugh out loud scenes where this lot get themselves into quite a few sticky situations.... lol.

“She means everything to me. You gotta drag her down, that’ll suck,
but I’ll pick her back up. You gotta rip her apart, I’ll fuckin’ hate watchin’ it,
but I’ll put her back together. Do what you gotta do to make you feel like you
got the bigger dick. But know this, in the end, it’s gonna be her and me.”

"Ride Steady" had a brilliant story line, fantastic, action packed, drama filled sub plots, a truck load of humour and of course those very hot, orgasm filled sex scenes that had my toes curling and thighs clenching. Those Chaos boys really do know how to spoil a woman whether it be in the sack or on the sofa or on a floor or even... get this... on the hood of a custom made car without any quibbles about damaging the paint work... yup, now that is a man that is 100% a keeper.  And on top of that, I got to rub shoulders with some of my favourite KA characters all of whom decided to make an appearance... Tack, Lee Nightingale, Hawk Delgado, Hop, Shy, Brock, Luke, Hector... this book was full to the brim with hotties I'd fallen in love with in previous books and having them altogether had me giddy with excitement.

If you love this author, you will absolutely love this third book in the Chaos series. The writing, the dialogue, the characters... everything about this book screamed signature KA. Yup, I don't know of anyone else that can pull off  what she does and I'm thankful for that. Hers are books that are automatic one clicks and I haven't found a single one I haven't loved. This one however... this one was something extra extra special and I couldn't give it anything less than ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

"It's you. It's always been you. It'll always be you. Fuckin' always."

About the author:

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, and has lived in Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multigenerational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland, and Kristen grew up listening to the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake. Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.
