Synopsis:

They say there's a fine line between love and hate.

There is.

I married a douchebag.

I didn't know it at the time.

He came in like a handsome stranger and blew me off my feet.

I fell madly in love, like the naive girl I am.

Then he left me high and dry.

Turns out, I was nothing more than a business plan for billionaire playboy, Marcus Tandem.

He needed to be married in order to obtain his grandfathers business, and I was the poor victim in his path.

I believed in what we had, until the truth reared its ugly head.

I never meant anything to Marcus. Not a damned thing.

With my world spinning on its axis, the girl I once was has long since died.

Instead he left me as this empty, emotionless shell.

I may have made a vow before God to love and cherish him ‘Til Death do we part, but it’s time for me to give back to Marcus, exactly what he gave me.

He has to pay.

And pay he will.

Review: Surj Harvey

Holy crap Bella Jewel, I have just spent the last couple of hours with my heart firmly lodged in my mouth. And the funny thing is... I already knew how "'Till Death" was going to turn out. The synopsis said it all... it was clear as day... so what the hell made this book so addictive, that I tuned out the world and immersed myself in what was (quite literally) car crash reading? Honestly, there was so many different aspects of this story that ensured Bella Jewel had me by the balls... the characters, the plot, the chapters told from the past and present and of course the alternate POV. God it was everything. This author had me reading frantically, praying and hoping for any other outcome than the one I knew was coming. My heart hurt, it splintered and ultimately it broke with how everything unraveled and I was left devastated. If you're looking for a HEA, this first instalment in this series will not give it to you. What it will do is leave you craving more but in such a good way.

Let me tell you a story. It's one of those stories that will make
you hate with a passion that will scorch your sole.

Marcus Tandem was a bad man...plain and simple. I wished he was the type of guy I could have fallen in love with ... in fact I hoped and prayed and even searched for glimmers of a different side to him, some redeemable quality that would put him in a different light but nothing.. nada. This man was a heartless, ruthless, manipulative, calculative bastard who thought of no one but himself, chapters from his POV only serving to confirm my worst fears... this was just business and Marcus tandem truly was the devil in disguise.

Love isn't for men like me. I don't have the time or the interest.
Love is for the weak. Women are too difficult and I'm too much of an asshole.
I don't hide this fact or pretend to be anything else.

Katia's character made my heart hurt and the more I read chapters from her POV, the closer I got to tears falling. Here was a woman who was completely clueless to what her future held, having been swept off her feet in a world wind romance, she really was living in a fairytale.... or so she thought. Even when those doubts crept in, when insecurities came to the surface, she tried desperately to cling to the belief that Marcus did love her, otherwise why marry her... right? Katia was such a beautiful, selfless, giving character and she gave 100% (if not more) to her marriage and it was soul destroying to see her get very little in return.

I love him in a way that's toxic. I know it because no matter how much my heart screams
that something isn't right, I can't stay away.

This first part in the "'Till Death Series" was brilliant. Yes there were a couple of twists that were thrown in that didn't quite feel right but I was so invested in this story, I was happy to overlook them. I loved watching Katia and marcus' past and present get ever closer, knowing the collision course they were on would not lead to anything good. I was desperate to see the fallout of Katia finding out that her marriage was just a business transaction... a means to an end and I think it was that anticipation that ultimately left me reading at the speed of light. Bella Jewel did such a sterling job of building this story up, making me connect completely with Katia's character, ensuring I felt every ounce of love, hope, doubt, confusion, pain and ultimately betrayal she felt, leaving me desperate for more. And that ending... those last few lines... OMG. What does it all mean? I need the next book... like now.

A man like Marcus is dangerous for me. He'll destroy me. Crush me. Take my life in
his hands and twist it until there's nothing left but a pathetic, dangling string left.

"Till Death" was most definitely a ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ read for me.
