Review- Jo

There's been a lot of hype surrounding this book over the last few weeks so when it went on sale last week, I clicked straight away and I'm so glad I did because it's the best 77p I've spent in a while.

"Decker's Wood" was an absolute delight to read. It was hilariously funny and I had a huge cheesy grin throughout the majority of the story. This book will brighten up your day no end!

In this story, I met sexy porn star "Decker" and "Andi" or "Country" as she was affectionately renamed by Decker.

Decker had a successful career in Adult entertainment. He was the industries hottest star and as such, he was in huge demand. The only problem was that Decker's equipment was failing him when he needed it the most. Poor guy, he was suffering from every man's worst nightmare!

The simple fact was, the power of the pussy had lost its effect on me.
What the hell was I supposed to do now? Give up sex?

I loved Decker, he had me laughing out loud right from the start and this continued for pretty much most of the story. His comments and inner thoughts were just genius and I loved the chapters told from his POV.
The author really did write a brilliantly funny character with Decker.

Andi was an equally fab character. She was sweet and adorable and also extremely funny. I loved the dialogue between Andi and Decker. Even now, as l am writing this review I find myself smiling at the memory of just what a treat this book was to read and how much I loved this couple's conversations. Andi was a fun loving character that was truly a breathe of fresh air.

I wanted to find a tree and draw a heart with our initials inside its curved walls into
the bark. I wanted to share a meal of spaghetti just like Lady and the Tramp. I wanted to
lean into his strong embrace on a slow horse drawn carriage ride through Central Park
just like a princess from a fairy tale. Fuck, I wanted to make him a mixed tape.

As soon as Andi and Decker met they were hot for each other. Decker couldn't believe how, suddenly, Andi had grown into a sexy young woman. And miraculously, Decker discovered that his equipment had decided to come out of retirement as soon as Andi had appeared!! She was the cure to his not so little problem!

Well Damn Andi had grown up. She was...beautiful. No fake tan, fake tits or fake smiles here.
She was all adorable, sweet and innocent.

So Andi and Decker found themselves getting along fantastically. They both just gelled. It quickly became obvious that the pair wanted to be more than just friends with the sexual chemistry between the couple just kept getting stronger and stronger.I couldn't wait for someone to make that first move and I was willing Decker to come over all alpha male and claim Andi as his.

My infatuation with Decker Steele needed to end now. He was the kind of man that led to
heartache, and I had endured enough heartache to complete several seasons of a bad
soap opera. I needed to have my wits about me where Decker Steele was concerned,
because if I wasn't careful, I would end up doing something stupid, like fall in love with him.

However, things were not that simple. With Decker about to start filming yet another movie, could Andi accept his career and love him no matter what? Or would Decker have to choose between between being a porn star or being with his one true love?

Was she worth giving up the comfort of what I knew? Was she worth turning my back
on the reputation and status I had spent years building? My name was synonymous with adult film;
I was a fucking star in my own right. Was a slip of a country ass worth giving it all up for?

I truly fell in love with this story and with Andi and Decker too. Their relationship was just so delicious, I loved reading about all of their little adventures and all of their swoon-worthy and playful moments together.

"You think I'm beautiful?"

"Yes, you're beautiful, smart, funny, feisty, every man's dream come true.
Now go to fucking sleep before I find something to gag you with."

This couple were just so crazy about each other and It made my heart want to burst with glee. I read a comment in a review that said "This story made me want to hug my kindle" and I just had to pinch that quote because that is just how this book made me feel!

"Is this real?"

"This is real. What we're feeling is real. It doesn't get any more real than this."

Of course, things were not always so bright and sunny for Andi and Decker, and I was totally prepared for something to burst the beautiful bubble that the pair had made together. When, indeed, that bubble did burst, I, along with Andi and Decker, was left heartbroken. I felt their pain and I clung onto the fact that something would happen that would fix that bubble or make a new stronger one.

Andi was my it, the one thing that I needed to make my life make sense,
to bring clarity into my veins and heart. And I blew it. My first real relationship with a woman,
and I fucked it up harder then any scene I had ever performed in.

Another thing that I loved about this story was the secondary characters, especially Andi's neighbors. Casey and Lionel. They too had me chuckling at the things they said and did. I loved how they were there to support Andi and Decker. They were the best kind of friends to have and made a brilliant addition to the story.

The author has written a funny, heartwarming, feel good book that I wholeheartedly recommend. Read it peeps, you will not be disappointed!

Decker was the first man I could honestly see a future with, the first man I dared to dream
of a future with. What was I supposed to do when the very person who broke my
heart appeared to be the only one who could fix it.

"Decker's Wood" gets 5 mushy hearts from me. I really couldn't give it anything less!
