Blog Tour Review: Surj Harvey

Wow Jessica Reed, you definitely turned everything up a notch in this final installment to Jett and Brooke's story and I loved it. I have to say out of the three books in this series, "Treasure your Love" has to be my favourite. I saw a different side to the characters which I just adored and in terms of my long list of unanswered questions regarding the Lucazzone Estate, I finally got the closure I needed.

"Treasure your Love" began by luring me into a false sense of security. Jett and Brooke were officially a couple and life was good for them. They were cute together and I saw a playful, fun side which I hadn't really seen before. There was no denying that these two loved one another and in terms of their sexual chemistry... well it was definitely still there by the bucket loads. Jett just couldn't get enough of his leading lady and even added a little kink to spice things up:

"I want to fuck you," Jet teased. "Slowly. Recklessly. Teasingly. However I feel like doing it.
I all possible ways. Scream as loud as you want because no one will hear you.
And I want you to scream baby."

Yup, this man still managed to get me a little hot under the collar!!! But I knew all this hearts and flowers couldn't last forever because well, that would make for a pretty boring book don't ya think?

And I was right although I did have to wait... and wait... and wait. 20% later and I finally got my first glimpse of the drama that would have me on the edge of my seat reading frantically desperate for answers. Oh yes, Jessica Reed you really did write a blinder because I couldn't have predicted the turn of events that lay before me. It was one thing after another, curve ball after curve ball, twist after twist but I was hooked, glued to my seat craving answers to the questions rolling off my tongue. The more answers I got, the more questions I had. That bloomin' Lucazzone Estate was more trouble that I could have ever imagined and the 'club' and that 'book' ... well don't get me started because those answers just made my stomach turn.

I was given none stop drama and high energy action and for the most part, my heart was in my mouth. As secrets were exposed and character connections made, I was left dumbfounded because never in a million years would I have connected the dots. Old characters came out of the woodwork and showed their true colours (not always bad I have to add) and some of the new characters just made my blood boil. There were definitely scenes I didn't expect ... that were just horrific to read and that shocked me to the core but it was part and parcel of the story so I had to keep going.

In terms of the characters, Jett still had my heart. He was all intense, protective and possessive of what was his (and Brooke was most definitely all his):

"When I fell in love with you, I knew I'd love you at your worst. Most of all, I knew you
had the power to destroy me in your absence. You're not any girl to me, Brooke.
You're the only one who matters to me."

But I have to say, he went up in my estimations when I was introduced to the past he had tried so hard to forget. Remember in "Conquer your Love" when we saw Jett as quite the action man, well we get to see more of that... so much more and I kinda loved it. Think Paul Walker in "Fast and Furious" because that's the image that came to mind almost immediately. Could this guy get any hotter? And Brooke, I loved that despite her insecurities, she was still very  head strong and independent. OK so she made a few bad decisions that nearly cost her her life but I liked her. What can I say?

"Treasure your Love" was the perfect conclusion to the "Surrender your Love" Trilogy. The writing was brilliant and I even got a chapter from Jett's POV (it helped redeem him because at one point his character did infuriate me). The bonus is, we're getting a Christmas Novella for Brooke and Jett entitled "No Exceptions." I can't wait. We might even get to meet the bambino by then!!!!

When Jett saved me, he saved not only my life, but also my hopes and our future.
He allowed me to believe that our love would never fade away.
He left a memory I didn't want to forget, and now I was ready to treasure his love forever.

This was without a doubt a 4.5 Hearts read for me. If you haven't read the series, I would definitely recommend it!!! Go click and read... Jett will have your heart doing all kinds of crazy!!!
