Synopsis:

THE STUNNING CONCLUSION TO THE THIS MAN TRILOGY!

The Manor, the very place where their passionate love affair began, fills with guests on what should be the happiest day of Ava and Jesse's lives. She has accepted that she'll never tame the fierceness in Jesse-and she doesn't want to. Their love is profound, their connection powerful, but just when she thinks that she's finally gotten beneath his guarded exterior, more questions arise, leading Ava to believe that Jesse Ward may not be the man she thinks he is. He knows too well how to take her to a place beyond ecstasy . . . but will he also drive her to the brink of despair? It's time for this man to confess.

My Review: Jo

This is the last installment in the story of our beloved Jesse and Ava. (Boo hoo!) DO NOT READ if you have not read "This Man" and "Beneath this Man". It is a continuing story.

Yet again Jodi Ellen Malpas did not disappoint with this book giving me the perfect conclusion for one of my favourite book couples.

The story begins on a happy occasion, it's the wedding of Mr and Mrs Ward which (surprisingly) is held at "The Manor". Of course, Jesse, being the unique and crazy guy that he is, throws in some of his own personal touches  and despite only knowing each other for a very short time, Jesse and Ava are married.

After the wedding it would be naive to believe that all of Jesse's secrets would disappear leaving the couple to live happy ever after. Nope, once again their happiness is short lived. Shortly after getting married Ava discovers that she is pregnant, and she finds out what happened to all of her contraceptive pills. She's shocked by Jesse's deceit and leaves him for the second time. She really doesn't want the baby and decides on a termination. It seems that the marriage is over before it's even begun.

"Everything that happens between us is a result of the potent, sometimes poisonous, love we
share. It cripples us, pushes us to behave erratically and unreasonably-both of us."

The story continued to take me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, full of yet more secrets confessed and  lots of heart melting moments too.

"We are not conventional, baby. But, we're special. What we have is really special. You
belong to me and I belong to you. It just is, it's not natural for us to be apart, Ava."

Finally Jesse shares his past with Ava, disclosing all of his secrets. We learn who the mysterious Ruth Quinn is and what really happened between Jesse and Sarah. Ava understands and accepts the secrets of her Husbands past. The love between Jesse and Ava is stronger then ever and it's a love that's unbreakable.

"Nothing can, or will ever beat this. Its astonishingly good, and I'm transfixed on him,
completely captivated by him. So incredibly in love with him."

The other couple in the story, Sam and Kate, also have their fair share of ups and downs and I was eager for them to get their happy ending too.  I would love to read a companion novel about their story. Hint, Hint Jodi!
The Epilogue is brilliantly written from Jesse's point of view and I loved it. It's full of bad language and Jesse's unique personality. It's a perfect way to end the trilogy.

Thank you Jodi for giving us such a beautiful love story and a sexy new book boyfriend to swoon over!
I wholeheartedly recommend this book and I give it an awesome 5 hearts
