Synopsis:

THE NEXT CAPTIVATING NOVEL FROM THE BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF ONE DAY IN DECEMBER

Two Lives. Two Loves. One Impossible Choice.

Lydia and Freddie. Freddie and Lydia. They've been together for almost a decade, and Lydia thinks their love is indestructible.

But she's wrong. Because on her 27th birthday, Freddie dies in a car accident.

So now it's just Lydia, and all she wants to do is hide indoors and sob 'til her eyes fall out. But Lydia knows that Freddie would want her to live her life well. So, enlisting the help of his best friend and her sister Elle, she takes her first tentative steps into the world and starts to live - perhaps even to love - again.

But then something inexplicable happens, which gives her another chance at her old life with Freddie. A life where none of the tragic events of the past few months have happened. But what if there's someone in in her new life who wants her to stay?

A heart-breaking, uplifting story for fans of PS I Love You and Jojo Moyes, this gorgeously romantic novel will make you laugh, cry and remind you of what a wonderful gift it is to love and to be loved.

Review: Surj

As an author, Josie Silver can do no wrong. I loved her first novel "One day in December" and this second book "The two Lives of Lydia Bird" ... what can I say. I'm an emotional mess yet again. Josie Silver really knows how to pull you in right from the get go and she ensures she has her readers invested in the story she has to tell. Lydia, Freddie and the gang's story was just so heart felt, emotional and unputdownable and it's a story that will stay with me for a long time.

Most of us will know someone that has lost a loved one and unless you have walked in their shoes, you often think to yourself "I can't begin to imagine what they are going through." There are many stages to grief and Josie Silver gave us a very candid view of each of them from the pain and guilt, to anger and bargaining and from depression to finally acceptance and as an author she did an amazing job at not only telling her readers about this grief but she ensured that we actually felt everything her character was going through too. It was tough at times I'm not going to lie but there was also some lighter moments that help balance the story out perfectly.

Told in a very unique way, "The Two Lives of Lydia Bird" was such a great read with a cast of supporting characters that truly helped make this book memorable story and one that I could really see being on the big screen. My one little niggle (actually you can't even call it a niggle with the story because that was brilliant), it's more that I think this story deserves a sequel. Boy what an ending!!!!
So please, Mrs Silver, can we have more????

"The Two Lives of Lydia Bird" get ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
