"The Fall Before Flight" was a story of love, hope and healing as well as a forbidden romance of epic proportions. Leo and Amalia's story consumed me. I could not put this book down. This was a novel that will be on my top 2018 reads for sure.

Amalia was a character with so many good things about her. She was fun, feisty, intelligent with a witty and sarcastic sense of humour. She was also a girl that was struggling. In this story, Amalia was finally getting the help that she so desperately needed, and from that moment on, I saw her character progress and develop as she was helped to heal with support from her psychiatrist, Leo. I absolutely loved the growth that I saw in Amalia and I was full of hope for her future, especially if it was a future with Leo. As soon as Leo and Amalia met, I could feel the heat between them and when I knew that a forbidden romance looked to be on the cards, I was excited. This was another book from this author that was exactly my kind of read.

Leo, the swoon-worthy doctor, and Amalia's relationship didn't stay professional for long as the couple found it impossible to resist the chemistry between them. The love story that unfolded was one that was addictive, passionate and full of ups and downs. One minute I was in romance heaven, the next my heart rate had plummeted and I was gutted as things weren't going as smoothly as I'd hoped. I suppose that's the way it goes with a tale of forbidden love. They may have had a few bumps in the road but one thing that the couple did have was a ton of steam. Leo and Amalia were on fire together. I absolutely loved how crazy they were for one another and how insatiable the pair were. It was obvious that Leo and Amalia were a couple that were meant to be.

I adore L M Halloran's exquisite style of writing. Writing that is simply flawless. Every single time she delivers a story that is perfection. Over the last year, L M Halloran has amazed me time and time again with her work. I can't recommend this author enough. She is an absolute must read.
