Blog Tour: Monica Murphy's "Safe Bet (The Rules #4)."

The Hopeless Romantics Book Blog are pleased to be part of the Blog Tour for Monica Murphy's "Safe Bet (The Rules #4)."

Synopsis

Sydney Walker’s new job is perfect. As the live-in nanny to the most famous quarterback in the NFL and his beautiful wife, she couldn’t have it any better. Their kids are adorable. Her bosses are more than generous. Plus, there are hot football players at the house all the time. Life can’t get much better than this.

Until her life turns into an absolute nightmare. The media is abuzz with rumors that she and her boss Drew Callahan are having a torrid affair. Everyone knows the truth—except the public. So Drew’s wife Fable comes up with the perfect idea.

She creates a fake relationship between Sydney and one of the rookie players on Drew’s team. Wade Knox is forever indebted to Drew and Fable and readily agrees to the set up. Pretending to be in a romantic relationship with the hot nanny for a week—how hard can it be?

Crazy how it only takes one week for two people to fall head over heels in love…

(This mash-up new adult romance features characters from both the One Week Girlfriend series and The Rules series.)

Review: Jo

I loved absolutely everything about this book. As soon as I discovered this mash-up was on the way, I have been itching to get my hands on "Safe Bet." The "One Week Girlfriend" series is my top favourite from Monica Murphy and I have also loved "The Rules" so to have the characters from both sounded like book heaven to me and I am so happy with how this new novel played out.

"What we're doing is supposed to be fake.
So why did that kiss feel so damn real?"

Wade Knox was probably one of the sweetest guys I have met from this author, he may not have always been that way but I easily fell for the man that Wade had become. He truly was a swoon-worthy character and I adored the way that he treated Sydney. Wade acted so respectively towards her and with such gentle love. He melted my heart on many occasions.

"This, what we're sharing now, it's real, Syd.
You can't deny it. I won't deny it either."

Sydney was a character that I instantly enjoyed and knew that I would love getting to know everything about her. Sydney was kind and loving and having been a nanny myself, I could easily relate to her job. Lucky Sydney was offered the job of nanny for Drew and Fable (Yay! I was crazy happy to be back with them again). When Knox came onto the scene and he was introduced to Sydney, I was excited and had high hopes for their relationship. I just knew that Wade and Sydney would make a great couple.

"Everything's happening way too fast. And I don't ever want it to stop."

I loved the premise of this story, it was a lot of fun but without much drama or angst, which I appreciated. Sometimes it's nice to have a cute romance that blossoms so smoothly. Wade and Sydney's story had me hooked, especially once things began to hot up for the couple. As well as enjoying Wade and Sydney, I also loved that Monica included characters from OWG series and I also had chance to catch up with previous characters from this series. It was so lovely to see Drew and Fable as a fully fledged married couple doing the family thing. I was also surprised to get a glimpse of Jen and Colin. I loved their story so I was pleased to see their return. If you are a fan of the OWG series, you are going to love this book. I was smiling the whole way through.

"Safe Bet" gets 4 hearts from me.
