"Lyric" was a thrilling read that had me gripped. It was one of those books that you read with an ominous feeling, knowing that something bad was going to happen just around the corner. I was on the edge of my seat every step of the way.

This story sees the romance between the headstrong and defiant Libby and her rock star on/off boyfriend Maxon. Libby made the perfect heroine for a Mafia family, she was gutsy and determined. She was also head over heels in love with Maxon. Maxon was equally in love with Libby. He was an absolute hopeless romantic and desperate to put a ring on his girls finger. If only their relationship could have been so easy. With a Mafia family surrounding them, I was prepared for an exciting and unpredictable ride and that's just what I got. My heart beat faster and faster with each new chapter. This was definitely not just a sweet romance, that's for sure.

I always love Molly's style of writing. She never fails to pull me in and keep me hooked. I was fully invested in Libby and Maxon's relationship, rooting for them with every turn of the page. I also loved that I knew a lot of the characters from Molly's previous series. It was like catching up with friends. However, this can also be read as a standalone. Next up I think is Einstein's story and I really can't wait for that one.
