Synopsis:

My marriage seemed perfect from the outside looking in.
People envied me. They wanted my life, wanted to be me.

Mrs Alejandra Gambino.
Wife of Dino Gambino. Daughter of Eduardo Castillo.
Respected. Loved. Mob royalty.

They had no idea of the horrors that lurked behind closed doors.
They didn't know I was at the lowest point a person could reach.

Enter Julius Carter.
Aloof, handsome, blue-eyed Julius Carter.

He saved me.
I screwed him over.

Now everybody was after me. My life was forfeit.
It was only a matter of time. I was a dead woman walking.

The question was, who would get to me first?

Review: Surj

OMG this book... Julius's story ... I've been waiting for this one for a while now and holy cow, I'm so glad Belle Aurora took her time and made sure she wrote the right book for her characters because trust me, the wait was worth it. "Dirty" was bloody brilliant and I know I'll be gushing about it for days and weeks to come. From the prologue, the words held me captive, and with an immensely addictive plot,  I struggled to put the book down. It was intense, violent, thrilling, gripping, scary, brutal and exciting all at the same time and as twists and turns unfolded, I saw a magnificently constructed story being delivered that really was worthy of so much more than 5 stars. Julius's story really has got to be up there with my favourite books for the year. If you loved Twitch's story, I can guarantee that you will get your knickers in a twist over this one. I know I've already said it but it was so so freakin' good, I'm still grinning like a cheshire cat.

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."

So what can I tell you about what Julius and his story? Honestly, not a fat lot because that would just ruin it all for you. I didn't even read the synopsis so everything that unfolded was a complete surprise for me, just the way I like it. What I will say is that "Dirty" was ruthless on my emotions and there were times I felt like my heart had been used as a punch bag. I'll also tell you that there were two fantastic stories running parallel to each other which somehow just worked perfectly with a flow that was seamless. Then there were the POV from various characters, some of which had me giddy with excitement at what was to come. Then of course there were the characters. Now I do want to talk about them because they truly deserve the love and adoration I'm about to give them.

People like me don't drive off happily into the sunset.
We careen down jagged cliff sides.

Julius Carter.... a judge, jury and executioner that had me from the minute he opened his mouth. He had such a hard exterior but that softer side that came out to say "hi" every now and again just melted me. And when he said "baby," OMG I may as well have handed my heart over to him on a silver platter. He really was something else and one of my all time favourite heroes (or anti heroes as the case may be). Then of course there was Ling. That girl was just kick ass and made me laugh so many times. Her banter with Julius... the way she wound him up was hilarious. But as we already know, the girl had issues and that side to her character was heart breaking to read. Then there was Alejandra Gambino. Hers was a character that truly made my heart ache for all she had been through. She was a woman who was drowning and with no light at the end of what had been a dark tunnel for so long, I just wanted a white knight to come and save her. She deserved that.

"If I were you, I'd behave. Dealing with men like
Mr Carter can be harmful to your health."

Now for that epilogue, that was some introduction to what is to come in the third and final book in the "Raw Family" series. I have a feeling this conclusion to the series is truly going to blow us away.

"Dirty" was a book about loyalty and family. It was a book about consequences and every action having a reaction. Mostly though, it was a book about survival and sacrifice.  I seriously cannot recommend this book enough. It was hands down, one of the easiest ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I have given. Go read it, you won't be disappointed!!!

"Don't ever mistake my femininity as weakness.
I will slit your motherfucking throat while reapplying lipstick."

Author Bio:

Belle Aurora is twenty seven years old and was born in the land down under.

At an early age she fell in love with reading. Boredom one summer had her scouring the bookshelves at home. She stumbled across Sandra Brown's Breath of Scandal and fell in love with romance

Having been brought up in a loud and boisterous family of Croatian descent, she developed a natural love for dramatics and humor. Only some years ago had she discovered a new love. Humorous romance novels.

Kristen Ashley and R.L. Mathewson had opened a brand new world where she could lose herself yet feel safe and at home in their stories. Belle has been known to become a screeching banshee while anxiously awaiting their newest titles.

Belle never thought she would write. It had never interested her until recently. Friend-Zoned began to form and in February 2013 Belle typed the words Chapter One. And she fell in love.

With words.

With writing.

With a creative imagination she never knew she harbored.

Friend-Zoned is the first in the Friend-Zoned series. Keep an eye out for this cheeky author.
