Release Blitz & Review: Sarah Robinson's "Saving a Legend (Kavanagh Legends #2)."

The Hopeless Romantics Book Blog are pleased to be part of the Release Blitz and Review for Sarah Robinson's "Saving a Legend (Kavanagh Legends #2)."

Synopsis:

His family’s gym has produced a roster of mixed martial arts legends, but so far Kieran Kavanagh hasn’t followed in their footsteps. After a brawl lands him in jail, Kieran is assigned to work at a center for at-risk youth. Though given a second chance, Kieran’s simply going through the motions—until he meets one very special kid, Shea Doherty, and falls hard for her very beautiful, very grown-up big sister, Fiona. The trouble is, Kieran’s best opening moves are getting him nowhere fast.

Fiona Doherty has too many responsibilities to fool around, especially now that she has custody of Shea. Sure, she’d love to find a devoted partner. But she won’t jeopardize her sister’s happiness—or risk revealing her tortured past—on a love-’em-and-leave-’em type of guy like Kieran . . . so it’s up to him to prove her wrong. As Fiona spends more time with Kieran, she starts to see a softer side of the reckless warrior. Now she must admit that when it comes to the possibility of real love, well . . . there’s a fighting chance.

Review: Jo

One of the things I have loved about this series so far is the Kavanagh Family. They are all so warm and friendly with huge, generous hearts. I easily fell in love with Rory Kavanagh in "Breaking a Legend" and in this book I got the chance to get to know his younger brother, Kieran. After serving time in prison, Kieran was looking for a fresh start in life so when he met the quiet, flower shop owner, Fiona he sees her as the perfect reason to turn his life around for the better.

"She looked at him like he could do anything, like he was her hero.
He knew right then and there that's all he ever wanted to be."

Fiona was another character that I instantly liked. Her story pulled at my heart strings and I was certain that Kieran could be her knight in shining armour. Fiona didn't have the best of lives, with far too much responsibility for someone so young, however she was determined to make the best of her situation. Fiona was resilient and courageous, but she also lacked confidence in herself so when sexy Kieran showed an interest in her,  she couldn't understand why. It was going to take some time before Fiona would give into Kieran.

"....you're my choice. You're what I want, Fiona, and I don't need time to know that."

I loved how relentless Kieran was and I couldn't wait to see how his relationship with Fiona would play out. Unfortunately this is the point where I felt that the story didn't meet with my expectations. I thought that some parts of the story were slow and failed to grab my attention. I needed some excitement to help keep me interested because I found myself becoming a little bored and frustrated at times. I'm not saying that the entire story was like this, there were moments when my interest was piqued, the only problem was that these moments didn't last. It was such a shame because I enjoyed everything else about the story.

"Saving a Legend" gets   ❤️❤️❤️❤️   from me.
