Synopsis:

India Harris didn’t have the best start in life. Abandoned as a baby, she and her twin brother, Kit, spent their lives in foster care, only having each other to rely on. Then, at a young age, a relationship with the wrong man left India pregnant. Wanting to give her son the life she never had, she put herself through school and graduated with honors.

Now, at the age of thirty, she’s a highly respected therapist.

At the top of his game as a Formula One driver, Leandro Silva had everything—until an accident on the track left him staring death in the face. After enduring twelve months of physical therapy, Leandro is now physically able to race, but his mind is keeping him from the track. Frustrated and angry, Leandro’s days and nights are filled with limitless alcohol and faceless women.

Entering the last year of his contract, he knows he has to race again, or he’ll lose everything he spent his life working for. Forced into therapy to get his life back, Leandro finds himself in the office of Dr. India Harris.

Falling for his uptight therapist is not part of Leandro’s plan.

Having unethical feelings for her patient, the angry Brazilian race car driver, is not part of India’s plan.

But what if the wrong person is the only person who is right?

Review: Surj

I loved the first instalment in the "Revved Series" by Samantha Towle and when I found out the lovely lady would be taking us back to the world of formula One by giving us Leandro's story, I was beyond excited. I knew this book was going to be a little different to Carrick's story and I wasn't wrong. This was definitely a more angsty, emotional, heart felt read and to be honest, with everything Leandro had gone through at the end of "Revved," I wouldn't have expected anything less.

I should have died. I would have died a legend.
Not the man I am now. A washed- up has been.

"Revived" was a forbidden romance between patient and therapist but if you think this is going to follow the predictable, conventional route, then think again. It would have been so easy for Samantha Towle to get Leandro and India together, bumping uglies at the drop of a hat but there was so much more to their story than that. "Revived" was realistic and so although there may have been insta-attraction, there was absolutely no insta love. Be prepared for the sexual tension peeps and definitely be prepared for the sexual frustration because there were moments I really hoped this couple would get it on and get it on good... and they almost would but then it was like Mrs Towle chose to dowse me in a bucket of cold water, leaving me high, dry and desperate for more... lol.  Would I have it any other way? Nope and you'll understand why when you read this book. There was too much more riding on this patient/ therapist relationship on India's part and I'm so glad she did her best to maintain her professional integrity. I could really feel her internal conflict though, the struggle between mind and body and her battle between right and wrong... would she cave in for this hot formula one driver that was the question.

"Right now, I want to get down on my knees, pull off your panties,
and show you just how unethical my tongue can be."

"Y-you can't say things like that to me," she stammers.

""No?So you don't want me to make you come with my unethical
tongue or fuck you with my unethically hard cock? "

Leandro's character truly broke my heart. He was a far cry from the confident, cocky, self assured man I'd met way back when and instead, was a shadow of his former self. Although the physical injuries from the crash had healed long ago, it was the mental scars that were like a noose around his neck, preventing him from doing the one thing he loved... race. In fact, Leandro couldn't even bring himself to sit in a car, the memories of that day so vivid, they (more often than not) sent him into a tail spin. His coping method... or should I say... method to help him forget was of course whiskey and women ... perfect to dull the pain and the memories but not enough to erase that day completely. I was desperate for a turning point in his life and hoped that India would help him get there.

"Revived" was one of those books that definitely had me second guessing what would happen next and with the curve balls thrown in for good measure and the twist thrown in mid way that I absolutely was not expecting, my mind boggled as to the direction the story would take. This is a standalone so you do get your HEA but it absolutely wasn't an easy ride for this couple to get there and sacrifices were definitely made on both sides.

"I love you. I am so fucking in love with you
that I am blind to anything else."

This was a great addition to the "Revved" series and I'm already wondering whose book we'll get next (a girl can hope.. right?) I'm hoping it's Kitt and Petra's story and I can't wait to find out just how bumpy their road to happiness will be... Please tell me you're not just teasing us with the last few lines about this couple... I need more that's for sure.

Excerpt  – Leandro

“Are you yelling at me?” I say to her.

Seriously, there’s something wrong with me because I get majorly turned on when she gets mad. Seeing her all fired up has my cock as hard as nails. Well, pretty much anything she does has my cock hard, but her anger is a definite aphrodisiac to me.

“Bloody well sounds like it, doesn’t it?” Her brow is all puckered into a frown.

She looks hot as fuck.

“I really want to fuck you right now,” I tell her in all seriousness.

Her eyes swing my way, wide and blazing. “Are you being serious?”

“I never kid about fucking you.”

“Jesus! You’re really pissing me off,” she huffs.

She makes to get up from the sofa, but I catch her arm, stopping her, and I pull her onto me. She makes a sound of protest but doesn’t actually try to get up.

“And you’re really turning me on,” I say to her.

Pausing she stares down at me. “I’m really mad at you right now, Leandro,” she grumbles, her voice less angry than before.

“Yes, well, I’m kind of mad at you, too, India. But I’m still hot as fuck for you.” I slide my hands to her ass giving it a squeeze.

She narrows her eyes at me. “We’re not having sex.”

“Not right now we aren’t, but as soon as Jett is asleep, I’m tying you to your bed and fucking the hell out of you.”
