Synopsis:

I was happy in my small town. In my life as a single, thirty-two year old woman. I had a good job, wonderful friends, my independence.

I also hadn't got laid in three years. Hadn't been on a date in two. Had stopped counting calories and wearing makeup... a while ago.

Then Brett Jacobs waltzed in. Caressed my thigh, dug rough fingers into my hair, lowered his soft mouth to my skin, took sexual control of my mind and stirred it all around with what he packed in his pants. He flipped my quiet life upside down and crawled into a place in my heart I thought was dead.

The issue is his secret.
The issue is her.
The issue is that I don't even know she exists, and he thinks she's dead.
The issue is that shit is about to hit the fan and I can't hold on to him tight enough.

Review: Kirsty

What a shock! This book did not turn out at all how I thought it would. Great story line with a brilliant twist that I didn't see coming until it was right upon me.

This book is probably one of the darker books I've read by Alessandra Torre, but as opposed to the story being full on graphic, in gory detail, it is hinted at. I sound cryptic because I really don't want to spoil any of the story. There is a side story going on, that is a major part of the story, and this is where the darkness comes in to. Think human trafficking and you'll be on the right track to just what kind of darkness I'm referring to.

The book really had one of the best storylines I've read in a long time. Ryley is just an ordinary woman, living in an ordinary town, living an ordinary life. Until she meets Brett. There is an instant chemistry between the two of them and they seem to go from 0 to 60 in seconds. I admit in the beginning I wasn't really feeling their relationship so much, but as I read on, I believed in them more and was rooting for them throughout.

Brett is a boat salesman who travels around exotic countries, bringing Ryley along most weekends. Things are pretty much perfect, but as the saying goes, when things seem too good to be true, they usually are. And eventually, this became the case for Brett and Ryley. She became suspicious of Brett's business. Why did he always have late night meetings? Why did he always stay in particular places? Ryley wasn't sure, but wanted to dig until she found out.

This is where the twists and turns come in to it and I was really on the edge of my seat. I picked the book up at 42% and didn't stop reading until I finished because I just couldn't put it down. Trusts are broken and lives are put at risk. The road is a bumpy one, but I loved reading every part of it! It really was one twist after another and at parts it took me a few times of re-reading to really believe what was going on.

"He had saved me from hell, and healed me back to life, all in less than two years.
We were one unit and not only could our bond not be broken, it would only strengthen in time."

All in all this book is great. I know my review is vague but I think it's best to keep it that way. I would have hated somebody to spoil any of the story for me, so I wouldn't want to do it to somebody else. I will say though, I don't think you could regret picking this one up. It did take a little while for me to get in to it, but once I did I was hooked. A great read.

I Rated "Tight" ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
