Synopsis:

Bestselling author Kurt Remington lives to write. He spends twelve hours a day in front of his computer, rarely leaving the seclusion of his beach-front property, where he's come to finish his latest thriller--that is, until free-spirited Leanna Bray nearly drowns in the ocean trying to save her dog. Kurt's best-laid plans are shot to hell when he comes to their rescue. Kurt's as irritated as he is intrigued by the sexy, hot mess of a woman who lives life on a whim, forgets everything, and doesn't even know the definition of the word organized.

Leanna's come to the Cape hoping to find a fulfilling career in the jam-making business, and until she figures out her own life, a man is not on the menu. But Leanna can't get the six-two, deliciously muscled and tragically neat Kurt out of her mind. She tells herself she's just stopping by to say thank you, but the steamy afternoon sparks a wild and sexy ride as Kurt and Leanna test the powers of Chemistry 101: Opposites Attract.

Review: Jo Rushton

The more books I've read from this series the more I've enjoyed them and so I was really looking forward to reading the fifth installment entitled "Read, Write, Love.". I've become quite fond of the Remington clan and as such, couldn't wait to meet another member of the family!

Kurt Remington was a best selling author who spent most of his time writing. He preferred a simple, organised life... that was until chaotic Leanna crashed into his peaceful world and turned it on its head.

Leanna was the complete opposite to Kurt. She was untidy, clumsy, disorganized and a free spirit. When Kurt and Leanna met they both found themselves getting along surprisingly well despite their differences... as the saying goes... opposites attract.. well that was definitely the case here. The couple became friends but deep down they were both secretly crushing on each other.

"I've written less, but I've never enjoyed my life more than I have with you, Leanna.
If this is what it feels like to live in an upside-down world, then I never want to be right side up."

I was eagerly reading each page to find out who was going to make the first move and I truly expected this part of the story to be a long drawn affair out, however I was pleasantly surprised. Once that first move was made Kurt and Leanna began a romantic relationship, quickly falling madly in love. This pair did not waste any time!

"You're my moment, Leanna. If you're here, I want to be right here with you.
Every minute of every day."

Everything was going beautifully between Kurt and Leanna so I began to wonder what was going to happen to upset their perfect little world. I loved Kurt and Leanna and their adorable, sweet relationship and I loved the tender moments they shared... but....

"I want a life with you. A whole life, Leanna. Not just part-time,
and not just when things are good.
I want to experience your world, and I want you to experience mine. You're my final chapter."

But I wanted something more. Something exciting that would grab my attention and make my heart beat at an alarming rate.. Unfortunately this failed to happen and my heartbeat remained normal!

Despite "Read, Write, Love" not capturing me the way the previous stories did, I still love the Remington's. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each and every character, reading about all of their heartwarming romances and their happy ever afters.

"There's nothing I wouldn't do for you. I've spent years living in the minds of fictional
characters wrapped up in fictional words. I want to spend the rest of my life wrapped up in you."

"Read, Write, Love" gets 3.5 hearts from me.
