Synopsis

Cole Brandt was the self-centered and philandering lead singer for Generation Rejects

Vivian Baily was a flaky, attention seeking drama queen.

Apart they were challenging…together they were complete and total chaos.

Cole and Vivian were two people who should never have been together.

Yet they crashed into each other at every turn.

Their relationship was anything but stable. But it was passionate. It was messy. It was hopelessly seductive. And it might possibly drive them both insane.

They fought. They made up. They screamed. They made love.

They hated and they loved in equal measure.

And now that Generation Rejects are starting to hit it big and the band is on the road, temptation and massive egos could very well spell the end of their roller coaster.

If only they could stay away from each other.

But Vivian has finally reached her breaking point. Tired of their endless cycle, she is ready to say goodbye to Cole for good.

Yet Cole isn’t one to go away quietly. Particularly when he is starting to realize exactly what he stands to lose if Vivian walks away.

As his world begins to turn upside down, Cole realizes that the one person who can hold him together is the girl who may no longer want him.

Love can be a comedy of errors, particularly for two people who never seem to get the timing right.

And In the crazy world of rock and roll, the hardest lessons to learn just might be the ones with the sweetest rewards.

Blog Tour Review: Jo Rushton

"Seductive Chaos" is the third book in the "Bad Rep" series. As each book in the series centers around a different member of the band "Generation Rejects" it is possible to read these books as stand alone's.

I thoroughly enjoyed the previous two books in this series so I was looking forward to this story and getting to know more about Viv and Cole. If you've read the Bad Rep series, you'll remember Viv and Cole as the stormy couple who fought like crazy one minute and ripped each others clothes off the next. What they shared was a fiery passion and I was dying to get to know them better!!!

In "Seductive Chaos," the band were riding the high of their recent successes. Touring around the US and away from Viv, Cole was playing the role of a badly behaved rock star perfectly but Viv had had enough and was beginning to realize that she was being used by Cole. Their constant fighting which always led to amazing make up sex was beginning to get her down plus it was clear that Cole wasn't playing the faithful boyfriend whilst they were apart. It was time she called it quits on their two year routine.

Why did I allow Cole to degrade me and humiliate me over and over again?
Why did I scream at him and make a scene just so I could get this reaction from him?
What the hell was wrong with me? What the hell was wrong with us?

So where did that leave Cole? Well it was kinda  like a light bulb moment!!! He suddenly realized Viv was the only women for him (hallelujah). The question was.. could a leopard change his spots? Could Cole change his man whoring ways and have a grown up relationship with Viv?

"Why all the girls, Cole? Why wasn't I ever enough for you?"

"You have always been more than enough for me.
When you're around, everything else fades away. All I see, all I want is you."

Whilst reading this story, I realized I didn't really like Cole. He was the lead singer of Generation Rejects and he was living up to his reputation of being the the bad boy of the group, making the most of his good looks and all of the attention it bought him. Each night on tour he found himself with a different girl. Cole was an arrogant, man whore. I hated him for the way that he treated women. Even as the story continued and I discovered the reasons behind Cole's behavior I failed to warm to him. It was only the during the last few chapters that my feelings for him grew but I wouldn't say that he was my favorite member of the band. Sorry Cole!

The biggest perk was the women. And there were a lot of them.
I wasn't shy about it. I didn't blush and make excuses. I fucked. A lot.

Despite not liking Cole, I loved Viv. I found her to be feisty, confident and she stood up for what she wanted. I'm not sure what drew her to Cole but what ever it was she had it bad! She was the faithful one of the pair, never failing to visit him whilst he was on tour and she always ended up in his bed.

Viv was obviously being used by Cole but for some reason she continued to put up with it! It was like she was addicted to him. I could truly relate to Viv, I'm sure most of us girls have fallen for a bad boy at some point in our lives so I understood her actions. The only difference was that I didn't put up with my bad boy for 2 years!! Cole was Viv's drug and it was high time that she began the withdrawal process.

"Cole was like a drug that I couldn't stay away from. And no matter how many times he upset me.

No matter how much he made me hate and despise him, the moment he touched me,
it became dangerously easy to lose good sense."

So overall I enjoyed Viv and Cole's story. I loved how their relationship completely changed into something truly special, I just became a little frustrated  how long it took them to get there! I found the first half of the story was a little slow but it definitely picked up in the second half and I just loved the epilogue, it was the perfect ending for Viv and Cole.

"You and me are a roller coaster. So buckle up and get ready for one hell of a ride, sweetheart."

I loved having the chance to catch up with the other couples in the Bad Rep series. The next book is Gracie and Mitch's story and I can't wait for that one. They feature a little bit in this book and I am intrigued to know what is going to happen between them. "Seductive Chaos" is a must if you are "Bad Rep" fan and it gets 4 fiery hearts from me!

Excerpt:

"I tilted my face under the warm spray and leaned back as he wrapped his arms around me. He gently kissed between my shoulder blades and ran his nose upwards to the base of my skull.

“I missed you,” he murmured into my skin.

Just when I was okay with resigning myself to what we were, to being just fine with the lack of real emotional connection, Cole had to go and do things like that.

He peppered me with soft kisses, hugging me tightly.

“I really love you being here when I wake up. I wish you could be here every morning.” I could feel him smiling against my back and I wanted to bash his head in.

He really needed to shut the hell up.

Emo mushy crap was taking things too far. I didn’t need to engage my heart in this already sticky situation.

But this was Cole. He could be this amazing, beautiful person when he wanted to be. In the aftermath of sex he said things that sent me reeling. And I couldn’t help but allow my mind to wander to possibilities.

I hated him for it.

“You smell and taste unbelievable. There needs to be an AA program for this. Vivian Anonymous. Sign me up because I can’t get enough of touching you.” Cole ran his tongue along my wet skin and I couldn’t help but moan.

“Stay with me another night. Please,” he begged.

I wanted to give in. God, did I want to. When he was like this it was hard to deny him anything. But I couldn’t pretend that what we had was something else. That the two of us were ever destined for more than a temporary physical relationship.

If I started thinking like that, I was setting myself up for a hell of a fall. And I wasn’t sure I’d survive the impact.

Cole was an egotistical manwhore. That was what I needed to remember right now. If I didn’t stay, he’d have someone else ready and willing to take my place.

He may ask me to stay but he’d be just fine if I didn’t. Our hearts were not involved here.

I snorted inelegantly. “What would all the groupies say if I was here again tonight? I don’t want to cramp your style,” I scoffed, leaning my head back on his shoulder.

Cole’s hands came up to cup my breasts, kneading and rubbing in a way that made me weak in the knees. He played my body against me each and every time.

“Why do you have to say stuff like that, Viv? You know when you’re around, there’s no one else. I don’t want anyone but you,” he admonished, his teeth scraping along the side of my neck, making me shiver, despite the warmth of the shower."
