Synopsis:

Junior in college. Star athlete. Constant attention from the opposite sex.

On this campus, I’m worshiped. While seven hundred miles away, back in my hometown, I’m still trailer park trash, child of the town tramp, and older sibling to three kids who are counting on me to keep my shit together so I can take them away from the same crappy life I grew up in.

These two opposing sides of myself never mix until one person gets a glimpse of the true me. I never expected to connect with anyone like this or want more beyond one night. This may be the real deal.

Problem is, Dr. Kavanagh’s my literature professor.

If I start anything with a teacher and we’re caught together, I might as well kiss my entire future goodbye, as well as my family’s, and especially Dr. Kavanagh’s. Except sometimes love is worth risking everything. Or at least, it damn well better be because I can only resist so much.

Blog Tour Review-Jo

I've always been a fan of a teacher/student romance, the "Gabriel" series being one of my favorites! It must be the extra helping of intensity that the danger of forbidden love brings. This story was a little different though. This time the professor was a woman!! Intrigued? I sure as hell was! I couldn't wait to get stuck in and find out more.

Aspen Kavanagh was the sexy English Professor hiding behind her ugly power suits and the many romance novels that she devoured. This girl was a serious romance junkie! Sound familiar? LOL. Aspen hid her true self behind closed doors and was set to keep it that way until she met her hot new student "Noel".

Noel, was the sexy star quarter back who spent his spare time drinking and sleeping with a whole lot of girls. But deep down, Noel too was hiding something that no-one knew about. Noel's life really wasn't as great as everyone thought.

"No one had ever affected me the way this woman did.
She stole the breath from my lungs with a simple glance,
and made me feel more alive and aware of every sense I possessed than anyone I'd ever met."

When Noel first appeared in Dr Kavanagh's class, both found themselves deeply attracted to each other. At first the couple attempted to fight the sexual tension between them but as each school day passed the stronger the chemistry became. Noel and Aspen began questioning if their feelings for each other were strong enough to risk everything!!

"It's not just physical, I mean, sure, the chemistry is like, pow. But I just..
I like being around you. I like that you know me. And I like learning about you.
I just..I want to know what we'd be like, what we'd be missing if we did nothing."

I enjoyed getting to know Aspen and Noel and loved how they both changed with their blossoming love. They made a truly beautiful couple, Noel opened up to Aspen, sharing everything about his troubled life with her. Noel's story pulled at my heart strings. The risk's he was taking to be with Aspen proved just how hard he had fallen for her. He was showing a mature, caring side, a side not many others knew.

"We might not stand a chance, but I can't stop thinking about you.
I can't stop craving that connection we share. It is so fucking strong.
I would do anything for little stolen pieces of you, Aspen."

Aspen, too, was prepared to put everything on the line for Noel. She fell madly in love with him.

"I can't believe I'm falling so hard for you that I'm willing to risk school,
my family, my entire future."

Aspen was such a sweet and caring character. All she ever wanted was someone to love her deeply, just like in her books. She dreamed about finding her own happy ever after, unfortunately I wasn't sure that a happy ending was promised for Aspen and Noel.

"Do you feel that? Do you feel what we do together? This isn't normal, Aspen.
We are a fucking force of nature. How can we keep fighting this?"

I truly fell in love with this story. Although at the beginning, I felt like I was being taken a little out of my comfort zone, because of the whole "a woman is the teacher" story-line. However my reservations were soon forgotten and I quickly became hooked. The story was well written and some of the quotes at the beginning of each chapter made my heart to melt. If you love a happy ever after you will not be disappointed, the epilogue ended the story perfectly. This was my first book by this author and it will not be my last! If you love a romance that takes a risk you will love this one.

"You don't love someone because of their looks or their clothes or their car.
You love them because they sing a song only your heart can understand."

"To Professor, with Love" gets 4.5 forbidden hearts from me!

Excerpt:

Shutting the door behind me, I held her shocked gaze. “You about done freaking out yet?”

She swung her head back and forth. “No.”

“Well, I’m done waiting.” Cupping her face in my hands, I added, “What we’re doing is wrong. Making it a one-time deal is wrong. Trying to convince ourselves it was dirty and tawdry and something to be ashamed of is wrong. It was the best damn sex of my life, Aspen. I felt connected to you, like hell, I don’t know. I wasn’t just getting off in some random girl; I was sharing something deep and meaningful...with you. I don’t care how many school policies tell us no. I’m saying yes.”

She drew in a loud breath and shook her head. “Why do you make it so hard for me to resist you?”

Hot damn, I was winning. My lips kicked up at the side. “Because you want to say yes just as badly as I want you to.”

A groan, telling me her will was crumbling, exited her lungs. “This is going to end badly.” She leaned forward and thumped her forehead against my chest.

“Maybe.” My arms swooped around her as I kissed her hair. “Maybe not.” Then I kissed her cheek. “I hope not.”

Looking up at me, she showed me all the faith she had in me. “So do I.”
