Synopsis

Meet Liv and Danny..

Liv loves Danny. She knows she loves him more than he loves her, so she lets him go without a fight when his parents make him move back to America. She knows she will never love anyone like she loved him, but she has to move on.

Danny loves Liv. He knows he loves her more than she loves him, because she does nothing to get him to stay, so he goes quietly when his parents leave the UK. He knows he will never love anyone like he loved her, but he has to move on.

Twelve years on, they have made a good job of pretending, they may have almost forgotten. But when they get in touch via Facebook, it seems that it is all still there.

They quickly find that they are intensely compatible in ways they hadn’t even begun to explore before they were forced apart.

Can they put aside their fears and give it a go? Or will deep rooted doubts and insecurities tear them apart?

Review-Jo Rushton

This is one of those books that I have had on my kindle for a while. Having heard good things about it, I finally got around to reading it and I am so glad I did! "Just Human" was a sweet romantic story that had me swooning from start to finish.

Liv and Danny were once childhood sweethearts but after Danny moved to the US the couple made the decision to end their relationship and move on. What neither of the two realized at the time, was that moving on was easier said then done. How can you move on from your first true love?

The story picked up twelve years later with Liv getting a Facebook message from Danny completely out of the blue. Of course she replied and as such, the couple began communicating again. All those feelings that they once felt for each other quickly resurfaced and what followed was a beautiful romance with the couple even  planning a future together. But would their new found love last?

"You've stayed perfect in my memory. I guess my fear is, if I let myself love you,
you might turn out to be just human. And if you're just human you could easily hurt me too.
I couldn't survive being hurt by you Danny."

I loved Danny and Liv, both were such likable, down to earth characters. Danny was a true romantic. I loved how he swept Liv completely off of her feet. I nicknamed him Delicious Danny!

"I don't have any idea what I want for my future, but I know I want you. I'm twenty-nine
years old and I haven't had a relationship with anyone that's even come close to
having a lifelong future, except with you, but we were too young. Were adults now
and I have you back. I can't pass up a second chance like this.
I can see my future with you Liv, and if you feel the same way, we have to try."

The secondary characters were great too, all playing their parts in the story of Danny and Liv. I also loved the pub that Liv owned. It sounded so welcoming, a true local British pub that I could easily see myself visiting! LOL.

I truly fell in love with "Just Human". It was a story that was so realistic and showed how easy it is these days to reconnect with old flames through the power of social media. I found this was a romance that was totally believable.

I'm not going to say anymore except to warn you that the story ends with a cliffhanger that had me on the edge of my seat! Thank goodness I have book two ready to read!
"Just Human" gets 4.5 delicious hearts from me!
