Synopsis:

Garrick Taylor and Bliss Edwards managed to find their happily-ever-after despite a rather . . . ahem . . . complicated start. By comparison, meeting the parents should be an absolute breeze, right?

But from the moment the pair lands in London, new snags just keep cropping up: a disapproving mother-in-law-to-be, more than one (mostly) minor mishap, and the realization that perhaps they aren't quite as ready for their future as they thought.

As it turns out, the only thing harder than finding love is keeping it.

Review: Surj Harvey

“She was my everything- the lungs that allowed me to breathe,
the heart that had to beat, the eyes that let me see. She’d become a part of me,
and all that was left was a piece of paper to tell the worlds
we were as inseparable as I already felt we were.”

"Keeping Her" was a really cute follow up novella to "Finding Her." I loved catching up with Garrick and Bliss during their trip to London to meet Garrick's parents... yup Bliss was meeting the future in-laws and from the first few pages, I knew this wasn't going to be a walk in the park. Bliss had always been an insecure person but this was magnified ten fold in this story. Unfortunately it really didn't help that Garrick wasn't feeling over confident about the meeting either... that just exacerbated the situation ten fold!!! It wasn't so much Bliss that was worrying him but more so his parents and as soon as I was introduced to them, I completely understood why. I didn't take to them at all.. they were rich, stuck up and so arrogant it was untrue and from the moment Bliss walked through the front door, my heart went out to her because this was going to be one hell of a bumpy introduction. From breaking an expensive vase, to meeting ex girl friends, awkward and uncomfortable doesn't come close to how I felt for her.

Bliss's character hadn't changed a bit. She was still insecure about her relationship with Garrick and team that with her clumsiness and her inner monologue and I found myself laughing at her expense.. Sorry but she was just laugh out loud hilarious and she wasn't even trying!!! Bliss was a walking, talking disaster but in the most lovable way and that's why Garrick loved her. And Garrick ... could this man do no wrong? I loved that he was so protective towards Bliss and always took her back. He wasn't about to leave her with the vultures... her happiness always came first. He knew exactly what to say and always at the right time and that's why they worked.

The relationship between these two had definitely progressed and life seemed good. They were sweet together but not in a sickly kind of way... more heart warming than anything but when these two got a little frisky... well let's just say the heat radiated off the pages. It was HAWT!!!

This was enjoyable, light hearted read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I wonder if we'll get any more from this couple though? Marriage, kids? I rated "Keeping Her" 4 Heart Warming Hearts

  1. Wow this book sounds so sweet. I could only vaguely read this post because I haven't read the first book but the quote was so cute.
