Synopsis:

For the first time in her life, 25-year-old Josephine Geroux has a future worth looking forward to. She has her beloved bookstore, she has all the comforts that money can buy, she has found the love of her life, and most importantly, she has found hope where there was none for 16 long years.

After the tragic deaths of her parents and her troubled life as an orphan, she met Damon Cole, a man who has everything to do with it all. He’s part of the reason for her wrecked life, but he’s also the reason that her heart has been restored. He’s her future and the exact reason that she’s so willing to fight the demons from his past that threaten the very future that she so desperately seeks.

In the final book of the Wrecked series, Jo is confronted with a turbulent history that has her negotiating the twists and turns that end up being far more difficult to handle than she ever could have anticipated. Jo’s relationship with enigmatic Damon is delicate at best, especially after she inadvertently discovers details about his life that may have been better left buried.

Since Damon’s dark past has remained hidden for so long, Jo’s investigation puts her dangerously close to jeopardizing her already fragile relationship with the man she loves.

Jo has a promising future at her fingertips; she must decide if revealing the truth to Damon is a gamble she’s willing to take. With so much at stake, acceptance proves to be Jo’s greatest battle to date

Blog Tour Review- Jo Rushton:

Accept Me is the third and final book in the Wrecked Series by JL Mac. This is a continuing story so do not read this  until you have read the first two books in the series (otherwise things may get a little confusing!!!).

Josephine (Jo) and Damon's  story hadn't been an easy one. It had been a heart wrenching ride filled with twists and turns along the way and in this book I was keen for the couple to get their happily ever after. I just wanted  Jo and Damon to settle down  without finding any more skeletons in that big closet of theirs!! But was I asking too much?

Accept Me continued pretty much where we last left Damon and Jo at the end of  "Restore Me". The couple were still madly in love and engaged to be married. Life was good for them. Unfortunately, as these things go, I just knew it wouldn't stay this way.

"There was no falling in love with Damon. I was not swept of my feet and convinced
to be his love. He came into my life, took my hand and I breathed him."

In "Restore Me", Jo discovered who Damon's Mum was and in this book we saw her attempting to uncover the truth about Damon's dark past. What Jo found out wasn't pretty and would likely cause Damon even more heartbreak. As such, she was faced with a difficult decision: tell the truth or continue to keep the secret buried.

"Damon accepts me for who I am and what I am. Merely his presence
makes me want to be a better person. I've never wanted to fight my past,
his past and our fucked up connected past more than I do now."

I enjoyed this final part in Jo and Damon's journey. The writing was good and it kept me gripped from start to finish. Whilst reading though, I had a strong sense of foreboding, I could feel the story building and knew that the couple's happiness was about to be challenged.

Throughout the series I really liked Jo's character, she remained  strong, independent and fun loving. She truly loved Damon with all of her heart. As well as the relationship between the pair, I also loved the relationship between Jo and  Damon's Gran. It reinforced how caring she really was. She truly had a heart of gold that girl!.  When things began to go bad, I felt so much empathy for her. She didn't deserve all of the tragedy in her life. How much more bad luck could be thrown at this girl?

At the start of the series I fell in love with Damon and at the beginning of this story I still loved him. Damon was so domineering of Jo, he totally took control and it was hot! However my feelings didn't last and  I began to rethink my opinion of him. I couldn't understand how hurtful he could be and I have to say, I felt so let down by his character. However, as everything became clear I was in love again! That boy well and truly  messed with my emotions!

By the end of the story I was left with no more stones to turn and no more skeletons to find. Jo and Damon were finally ready to begin their happy ever after. A perfect end for the couple that truly deserved  a life free from any more drama.

I rate this book 4 hearts.

Excerpt:

His fingers curl around the nape of my neck as the other hand cups my jaw. I’m pulled closer to him, our faces only millimeters apart. His heavy eyes slide shut. It’s clear that my Big Man is doing what he does so frequently. He’s savoring this. He’s savoring me. He’s taking his sweet time because more often than not, that’s just how he prefers it. My lips are achingly close to his. As many times as I’ve felt the fullness of his mouth covering mine, it never gets old. I edge my head forward, hoping that my wanton lips can coax his perfect mouth into giving me what I long for. The grip he has on the nape of my neck tightens fractionally, keeping me in place. It keeps me deprived of what I want and only works to cultivate my appetite for all of him. Just as he wants me. Damon is a calculated man. He has a purpose and a plan for everything he does. Even in the bedroom. His hand on my neck is a subtle way to control and direct me. I happily accept his control over my body.
