Synopsis:

I am not a slut, although I’ve been called one often enough. Yeah, I spent three months screwing one of my college professors, but I was crazy about the guy. Then he broke up with me.

I am not a bitch, although people like to say I am. I kept our relationship secret. I’m not responsible for telling the university administrators about it, but a lot of students still blame me for getting their favorite professor fired.

I am not a drama queen, although everyone thinks I am now. When I got a few nasty messages, I just deleted them. When I got the threat, I assumed it was someone being stupid. I still think that’s all it was. My parents worry, though, so they hired me a bodyguard. Now Jack follows me around, intimidating everyone who approaches me and looking obnoxiously hot.

This is what I am. I’m Chloe. I’m a twenty-year-old art history major. Kind of shy, although I pretend not to be. Stubborn enough to stay here for my senior year, even though everyone hates me.
And I’m stuck with Jack.
He calls me “Princess,” but I’m not a princess either.

Blog Tour Review- Jo Rushton

Knowing Jack started out quite promising. I became intrigued by the story and found myself liking the characters "Jack" and "Chloe".

Jack was hired to be Chloe's bodyguard after she received threats following a brief affair with her college professor. Although there was an immediate attraction, nothing could come of it. After all, he was there to protect her and that was a line he wasn't about to cross.

"She's wrong in so many ways I can't even begin to count them. She's too young.
Way too privileged. Way too used to the good things in life when all I am is bottom
of the barrel. But, the minute I see her, everything changes."

Jack was good looking, strong and very determined not to allow his feeling's for Chloe to get in the way of his job. Throughout the story it was clear that he'd did something in his past that jeopardized his job and he wasn't going to let  history repeat itself.

"I want to protect her like she's precious. I want to take her like an animal would claim it's mate.
I want to destroy everything that threatens to hurt her. I want her to open up to me
in every way-share everything she holds tightly inside her.
And all the ways I want her are wrong. Are forbidden. Are dangerous."

Chloe was attempting to get over the affair with her Professor. It appeared that she's had quite a rough ride where men were concerned.  Chloe really had been treated quite badly so decided to have a "manfast" just at the time when Jack entered her life.

So now we have Chloe and Jack who both fancy the pants of each other but neither one does anything about it. This is where the story began to drive me crazy and both characters really started to annoy me. One minute they were declaring their feelings for each other,  the next they were back to square one again.

"Every day, every minute, every second, I have to fight not to kiss you.
Not to do even more. But if I kiss you again, I'm not going to be able to stop."

This went on and on, they were constantly going around in circles. The story became repetitive and very predictable and towards the last part of the book I began to get a little bored. I am sad to say that I was really disappointed with how the story went and the ending just frustrated the hell out of me!! It seemed really abrupt and I found myself turning the pages and going back to see if I'd missed something.

Nothing about the story ended up exciting me and I really wanted it to. The promise was there.. "Knowing Jack" just didn't deliver. A disappointing end to what started out as a good read.
I rate "Knowing Jack" 3 hearts
