Synopsis:

Shattered, betrayed, and divorced, Bailey James has been burned by the only man she’s ever loved. Bailey wants nothing more than to spend her summer off from teaching alone reading in her oversized pajamas and eating chocolate. Love is nowhere on her radar, until her best friend drags her out to celebrate her new bachelorette status.

Humiliated, destroyed, and broken. Andrew Cooper is in search of something real. He's tired of living with a fake woman and her demands. However, his ex-wife won't let go and take the hint that he can no longer love a manipulative, cheating woman. Running into old college crush, Bailey James, has Andrew believing that he's finally found something real--something worth fighting for.

Andrew needs to convince Bailey that they can be together and love happily ever after and break free from their broken pasts. But will his jealous ex-wife and Bailey's fear of revealing her secret ruin their chance for becoming each other’s real?

Blog Tour  Review: Jo Rushton

"My Real" was a sweet and romantic story about second chance love and getting the happy ever after that we all want in life. If you're having a down day and need cheering up, this book, along with a big bar of chocolate, will do the job!

Bailey and Andrew first met at college. Andrew was instantly attracted to Bailey but she was so shy and allowed her best friend "Jessica" to make a move on Andrew.

Skip forward twelve years and Bailey was divorced after discovering her husband had been cheating on her. She was absolutely heart broken and fell into depression. Thank god for best friends and a much needed night out!!! Andrew was in a similar situation.  He was now separated from Jessica after a very unhappy marriage and low and behold he too was on a much needed night out... at the SAME bar!!!!  Was this really one of those "Right time... right place" situations? Most definitely.

When Andrew saw Bailey he made the decision that this time he would not let her get away. He wasn't about to make the same mistake twice.

"I hid my feelings for you for three years in college,
I want a chance for us to get to know each other again."

Fate bought them together.

"I'm not quite sure how I got so lucky to have you in my life."  ...."
It wasn't luck, it was fate. It just took a little while to catch up with us."

Bailey was a really likable character. She was so sweet and kind and after years of being unhappy, she just wants someone to love her the way she deserves to be loved.

"I'm standing in the arms in of this wonderful man, and I'm feeling hope.
I have hope that I can actually feel love again."

Andrew was Bailey's Prince Charming. He was the perfect gentleman... romantic and kind.. and he just wanted to take care of Bailey.

"I may be the luckiest man alive. I've reconnected with a woman who
I held deep feelings for that exploded into action the second I saw her again. "

"My Real" was a nice easy read. I enjoyed  Bailey and Andrew's journey together although I did feel like I was waiting for something big to happen, a major twist to the story that would pull at my heart strings but unfortunately it never came.

This book is perfect if you are looking for a story that will melt your heart without having to ride an emotional rollercoaster. I rate "My Real" 3.5 hearts.
