Synopsis:

Alayna Withers relationship with Hudson Pierce has tested both her and his ability to trust. They decide that the only way they can move forward together is with open doors and transparency. It won’t be easy for the scarred lovers, but they’re committed to each other more now than ever. Alayna, in particular, has grown through their trials, and has emerged more confident and faithful to the man she loves.

But while the pair is focused on the future, their past shows up again to threaten their fragile bond. Promises that were made are broken, and Alayna learns that Hudson still has very potent secrets—secrets that will tear them both apart. As much as she feels for him, her ability to forgive and forget is tested beyond her limits.

Even though she found the only man who could fix her, a forever with Hudson seems more and more out of reach.

Blog Tour Review: Kirsty Lander:

Once again Laurelin Paige has created a thoroughly interesting and addicting read. But it wasn't without flaw, for me. I felt like it just didn't have the same magic as the first two books had.

Both Hudson and Alayna are such interesting characters and once again I loved reading about two people with issues that aren't 'typical' in books. I think MANY people can relate to Alayna and her stalking tendencies so reading about her and connecting with her isn't so difficult. Hudson, I find him a little more difficult. I hate his past and what he used to get up to, it's just a little much for me to take. Anyway, the pair of them are still battling their demons in this book, only with added stress in the form of Celia.
"You're stronger than her."
"I'm strong with you."
"And I'm not leaving you. I'm here. We're in this together. Do you hear me?"

The story itself in this book started off a little slow for me. For those of you that read the first two, you will remember that at the end of book 2 there is talk of some kind of video of Hudson that Stacy has and she assures Alayna it will have her change her opinion of Hudson. Well, I am all for working up to something big and an author keeping us guessing, but I hate it when it takes so long that I begin to lose interest. Honestly, that happened a little. On top of that were other secrets (all expertly entwined) that Hudson was keeping from Alayna and this part of his personality had me really disliking him. He was cold and heartless at times and it just seemed too unlike his character.

"I have no answers to give you. This subject is closed."
"Are you kidding me? You're not going to talk about this?"
"No, I'm not."

On the whole, this was another enjoyable book and a great conclusion to the series. I was never quite certain if there would be the HAE I wanted but I did enjoy the journey to get there. Some parts towards the end felt rushed, but understandable all the same. I'm looking forward to what comes next from Laurelin Paige.

"And please, don't use my father to get close to me. He's not the road to my heart.
"Where is the road to your heart?"
"Don't you know? You're the one who paved it."

I rated "Forever with You" 4 Hearts

About the Author:

USA Today Bestselling Author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine. She is represented by the wonderful Bob Diforio of D4EO Literary Agency.
