Synopsis:

Love is like an avalanche. It hits hard, fast and without mercy.
At least it did for me when Sculpt, the lead singer of the rock band Tear Asunder knocked me off my feet. Literally, because he’s also a fighter, illegally of course, and he taught me how to fight. He also taught me how to love and I fell hard for him. I mean the guy could do sweet, when he wasn't doing bossy, and I like sweet.
Then it all shattered.
Kidnapped.
Starved.
Tied up like a piece of meat then whipped.
I was alone and fighting to survive.
When I heard Sculpt's voice, I thought he was there to save me. I was wrong. Sculpt was there to break me.

*Warning: This book contains some disturbing situations, strong language and sexual content.

No cliffhanger and next in the Tear Asunder series is Ream's story (the band's lead guitarist).

My Review: Jo Rushton

WOW!! This book is brilliant!! If you love dark reads then you will love "Torn from You".

From the beginning I found myself becoming addicted to Emily and Logan's story. Emily was strong, feisty and  100%  completely in love with Logan (aka Sculpt). Logan was a hot underground fighter and the lead singer in a band. He was the whole package wrapped up with a huge alpha-male bow! Logan was crazy about Emily and wanted to take her away on tour with him. Unfortunately, just before the tour, Emily was kidnapped. When she saw who was among her kidnappers her whole world was turned upside down.

"Torn from you" is a dark read that had my pulse raising. At times the story became quite disturbing and my heart went out to Emily for the awful things that she was forced to endure.

"He'd betrayed me. He'd looked at me as if  I was nothing.
Like a piece of mould as I lay degraded and beaten on the floor."

Emily became angry and hurt, not only was she being imprisoned and tortured but her heart had been broken in two by the boy that she loved with all of her heart, Logan.

What can I say about Logan?  That boy totally confused me! So many questions went through my head whilst I was reading this story. Why was he part of this awful sex slave trade and why bring Emily into it all? Through it all Logan remained so possessive of Emily, he wanted her all to himself, training her to be his own sex slave, protecting her from any of the other captors.

"She's mine, because I want to fuck her.
Once I'm tired of her, you can do whatever you want to her."

When Logan was around the other men with Emily he appeared to be brutal yet when they were alone at night he made love to her in a way that melted my heart. Logan's actions continued to leave Emily confused about her feelings for him.

"How could my mind contemplate loving him after what he's put me through? But I did.
I couldn't control it. He'd swept me up and taken possession of my heart,
even though he was now ripping it to shreds."

I couldn't help but love Logan, even though most of the time he acted like a bastard. I had high hopes that he would become Emily's knight in shining armour, to rescue her  from the tower.

As the story continued, the questions that stayed with me throughout the story were finally answered and by the end of the story I fully understood the reasons behind Logan's actions, and yes, I loved him even more. But will Emily still love him ? Will she forgive him for all the hurtful things that he has done to her?  I know that I would if I was Emily!

"It has always been you. It will always be you. Emily...you're my trophy and I lost you.
I cant loose you again, I have to do whatever it takes to get you back. "

"Torn from You" is really well written, There were jaw dropping moments that had me at the edge of my seat, sometimes you just didn't know what was going to happen next, and there were some extremely intense and passionate moments. When I had to take a break from reading I couldn't wait to pick my kindle back up to find out what was in store for Emily and Logan. There are no frustrating cliff-hangers at the end of the story, thank goodness! However it did give me a major book hangover!! When I did finish "Torn from You" I found myself thinking about it again and again. For me, that is a sign of a fantastic read.

"This man had broken me, and at the same time saved me. We were both broken in a way.
I realized that he was more than me. We were unable to be repaired.
But maybe that was why we were so good together."

In the story we also meet Logan's fellow band members and Emily's friends Matt and Kate. During the final part of the story something happens between Kate and Ream. I'm not quite sure what but there was definite chemistry between the pair. The second book in the series "Overwhelmed by You" is about them and I cant wait to read that one.

"Torn from You" gets 5 big hearts from me!!

It is recommended that you read the prequel to this story first "With You (Tear Asunder 0.5)" is the story of how Emily and Logan met. Here are the purchase links:
