Synopsis:

There's only one thing in life Lucien Knight really hates, and that's husbands who cheat on their wives.

There's only one problem in Sophie Black's life. Her cheating husband...

From the moment Lucien & Sophie meet, the seal is set.

Romantic, emotional & intensely erotic, Knight and Play is the perfect read for lovers of international bestsellers Fifty Shades & Bared To You. Let yourself be swept away by Part One of the Knight series from Kitty French, a romance so hot it'll burn your fingers...

CEO of Knight Inc. Lucien Knight is catch-your-breath gorgeous and damaged by his troubled past in Norway. All grown up and relocated to London, he's built his empire of adult clubs from the ground up to become the gorgeous patron saint of the sex industry. No one knows the dark childhood secrets that have given Lucien a backbone of steel and a heart encased in ice. No one until Sophie Black, that is...

From the moment girl-next-door Sophie accepts the job as Lucien Knight's PA, she understands how Alice must have felt when she tumbled down the rabbit hole. Lucien takes her safe, vanilla life away and plunges her head first into a huge dish of fantasy flavours. Rich, spicy chocolate covered with dark, oozingly lickable sauce? Check. Tutti-frutti with indecently red, glistening cherries on the top? Yes please.

Lucien strips away all of Sophie's inhibitions, and when he instructs her to select three new toys, she soon realises he has more than a game of Monopoly on his mind...

He's opened the door to a whole new pleasure packed world without limits, and Sophie is utterly intoxicated. But how far is she willing to go? And what happens when she has to step back into reality again?

Lucien & Sophie's is a story of star crossed love and forbidden passion, a sexual odyssey that spans the globe and changes both of their lives forever. Let it change yours, too.

Review: Surj Harvey:

Lucien Knight, I believe at this moment in time, you're in need of a new personal assistant... pick me ... pick me!!!! Wow "Knight & Play" was such a hot read with an even hotter male lead and the plot.. well that was definitely not what I was expecting. You see, this wasn't your conventional love story... not by a long shot but it was brilliant all the same.

In Sophie Black, I saw a woman whose life was taking a spectacular nose dive. Her marriage was failing miserably (courtesy of a little side action the husband was getting) and her job just bored her to tears. So who should be her knight in shining armour, well Mr Lucien Knight of course (Knight by name, Knight by nature). One word to describe this man? SEX!!!

“…tall, dirty blonde hair and flint blue eyes…sex oozed from every pore of the man…
a bronzed, muscled warrior.”

He oozed sex appeal, he owned a company that focused on the adult entertainment business... oh and he just loved to have SEX!!!! Lots of sex!!! Toe curling, squeeze your thighs tight kind of sex!!! But I loved it. This man was a master in the bedroom and knew his way round every inch of a woman's body. His aim was to give pleasure... and that my follow readers he most definitely did. But there was more to this man than just that and that's why I fell hopelessly in love with him.

"You deserve to be adored, and you deserve to be fucked until you can't stand up."

Sophie gave Lucien a week of her life, and in return he empowered her, gave her self confidence, showed her she was beautiful in every sense of the word and prepared her for the battle that lay in wait. It was a week she would never forget. It was a week of unadulterated, uncensored filthy pleasure and boy did I need to sit in an ice bath afterwards!!! It was intense, hot, sexy, sensual, all consuming and erotic as hell:

“Sex with Lucien was a cross between the most sweeping romantic movie and the filthiest porn flick; he was feather gentle and filthy erotic all at the same time.”

But believe it or not, there were also moments of angst too. Lucien's past was a mystery and the way he closed off from talking about it just made me even more curious. It wasn't until the tail end of the book, when I was finally given this information, that everything fell into place...his character and his need to 'save' Sophie.

I desperately wanted this couple to get together but it was never about Sophie choosing Lucien or Daniel and both characters knew that. Neither was under any illusion as to what they were sharing... unfortunately for me, that's not what I had hoped:

No, she wasn't harbouring romantic hopes or feelings of love,
but they had an undeniable connection that was more than just physical.

The further on I progressed through the book, the more butterflies I got because I knew their time was coming to an end. AND. I . DID. NOT. WANT. IT. TO !!!! I wanted them to fall madly in love and get their HEA.... nope it didn't happen and to be honest, although my heart wanted it, my head told me the story was heading in a more realistic direction (booo... hissss!!!). Damn you head!!! I knew I was going to have to don my big girl panties for the end of this one and I was so bloody right I'm gutted.

This had only ever been a one week deal. Now it was over and time to deal with the
messy business of cheating husbands and ruptured marriages.

At 93% the story took a direction I honestly wasn't expecting and the final page just left me gob smacked. Oh yes, prepare yourselves for the mother of all cliff hangers peeps but don't worry, "Knight & Stay" is out so you can just dive straight in and see what happens.

This was a guilty pleasure read. Was it realistic? Yes in some respects and no in others but do you know what? I just loved getting lost in the fantasy of it all. The story drew me in and held my attention and that's what counts. I'm off to read "Knight & Stay" now but before I do, I rate "Knight & Play" 4 HOT HOT HOT Hearts!!!!
