Synopsis:

Sex. Who really knows sex? I mean, we've all had sex, great sex even but when you get down to the details, how many of us actually see sex for the raw, primal act that it is?

I thought I knew sex. I've had sex. Heck, I've felt lust. Once, I've even felt love. I thought I knew exactly what sex was.

Until I met Cade.

He's the meaning of sex.

He's a biker.

He's dangerous.

He's powerful.

He's dominant.

He wants me.

My world is about to change, for the better? I don't know. But here's my story, I hope you're ready for it because it's not the beautiful, heart wrenching story most people have to tell. It's passionate, forbidden, morally incorrect and downright, fucking beautiful.

Blog Tour Review:

It's a shitty feeling to have no one in the world that wants to love you.
Not one, single person.

I love myself a bad ass biker boy so knowing that Bela Jewel's novel "Hell's Knights" was coming out, I was beyond excited. Books that revolve around around a "MC" theme are usually raw, gritty, harrowing, they touch on subject matters other authors might shy away from and they usually pull you right out of your comfort zone. That for me isn't a bad thing though.

So how did "Hell's Knights" measure up? For a debut novel, I enjoyed it. From the epilogue, I could tell this one was going to tug at the heart strings and the further I read, the more I knew  was right. With a lump lodged firmly in my throat, I knew tears would at some point come. And they did for Addison's story was heart breaking.

Each chapter told from the past brought me closer to water works because Addison's life really had been shit. Her childhood stolen by a dead beat junkie of a mother who would happily let her pimp have a go with her daughter as long as the drugs kept coming:

I will fight. I will beg, but in the end the result is always the same.
He will take what he wants, and he will leave a part of me that much more broken.

Anger didn't even come close to how I felt. Unfortunately when freedom did finally find her, it came with a price: guilt for how it had come about and fear because the past always has a way of catching up with you. Despite her upbringing, Addison was a fighter. I saw her as strong willed, feisty and most definitely stubborn. Unfortunately she also had vulnerable side with a lack of self worth. The moment she walked into her father's MC, something changed, everything changed. Suddenly there were people who cared, who would do anything to keep her safe and none more so than her father Jackson  and Cade Duke (Vice President of Hell's Knights):

"You might not think you're worth fighting for, or breathing for, but let me tell you, sugar -
everyone deserves to be fought for, even those who think they aren't worth it."

But Addison's stubborn streak meant this was going to be one hell of a bumpy ride. She valued her new found freedom so when Cade said "don't," she just couldn't help herself. She' go and do the exact opposite, more often than not putting herself in harms way! She saw it as him trying to control her life, he saw it as protecting what was his. Jeez these two locked horns more times than I could count. Their relationship was definitely fiery and the sex... well that was most definitely hot!!! (Back of a bike sex.... uh huh!!!)

"Your life was bad; I see it in your eyes. When you grin, your face is empty,
and I have no doubt when you smile, you're eyes won't shine like they should.
One day though, baby, I will make them shine."

Words like these made my heart melt for Cade. He was most definitely a complete bad ass biker with a mouth like a sewer (just how we like them). He was a cocky, arrogant alpha male who was used to getting what he wanted but there was a softer side:

Don't make me do sappy - I can say nice shit, but I don't do sappy,
I could so easily love you sugar, you're testin' every part of me, I'm fallin' fuckin' hard."

But even Cade had demons that haunted him and these would most definitely surface with the arrival of Spike who was sent to track Addison. Was he friend or foe? I could tell there was some history there with little hints dropped here and there but nothing could prepare me for their story. It was heart breaking and set the outline for Spike's story which is book # 2 in the "MC Sinners" Series.

"Hell's Knights" contained drama and most definitely angst. There was a healthy dose of romance albeit of the unconventional variety and there was betrayal, all making for a captivating read. There were parts that were most definitely uncomfortable to read, especially the chapters which gave us an insight into Addison's past. And the subject matters touched upon (abuse, drugs, rape, violence) definitely weren't the type to give you a warm fuzzy feeling. I read this book in one sitting (definitely a quick read) but at times I did feel the story a little rushed. I would have loved to have seen more of the shenanigans of the actual MC too... these guys can be so naughty.  This is a complete story so Cade and Addison do get their HEA but it is part of a series. Roll on Spike and Ciara's story. This one is definitely on my TBR list.
I rated "Hell's Knights" 3.5 Hearts

Excerpt:

He leans closer, lifting his heavily ringed fingers to stroke my cheek so lightly, I tremble.
“You’re the kind of girl that makes a man want to stop what he’s doing, just so he can get a moment to look at that angelic face – a face that will keep him awake for the rest of his fuckin’ life. That’s the kind of girl you are, sugar.”
I swallow, feeling my body coming to life beneath his touch.
“I think you’re wrong,” I breathe as he leans even closer.
“I’m not wrong. I’ve seen a lot of people in my life, and I’ve been with a lot of girls. None of them are as real as you. I’ll fuck you, sugar. I’ll claim you because you’re the meaning of need. You’re what I’ve been lookin’ for.”
Is he serious? I tremble as he moves even closer, bringing his lips only millimeters from mine. I swallow over and over, trying to think of anything else but him. How could he possibly want me that much, after a mere week and a bit? It’s not possible; he doesn’t know me. He just wants something different, a challenge perhaps? I don’t know, but I do know he’s completely wrong about me.
“I’m not what anybody looks for. I’m not what they fight for. I’m not what they breathe for. I’m not the girl you think I am.”
He leans down, shocking me as he slides his lips over mine, gently at first, then roughly when I begin to respond. I can’t help my hand, as it lifts up to wrap around the chain on his jeans. I tug it, bringing him closer. His boots crunch in the dirt as he takes a step closer, pressing his body against mine. I open my mouth, allowing his tongue to slide in and tangle with mine. His fingers travel up my neck, over my cheek and then he thrusts them into my hair, tangling it around them. The kiss is the kind of kiss that stops your breath, the kind of kiss that stops everything. For a split second, all I can feel is him. When he pulls back, I snake my tongue out and lick the last of him off my bottom lip.

“You might not think you’re worth fighting for, or breathing for, but let me tell you, sugar – everyone deserves to be fought for, even those who think they aren’t worth it.”
