Synopsis:

Mallory Westerman is a full-figured, successful, young business woman living in Yorkshire, England. Though very career minded, she is extremely self-conscious about her ample curves and so her love life tends to pay the price. Concentrating solely on her business, she has almost given up on finding someone to love. That is until she literally trips into the arms of a stranger who becomes her Knight in shining armour. The immediate sexual and romantic spark that blossoms into love and the events that follow, irrevocably change Mallory’s life-path and self-image forever, but only go to prove that the road to true love is never smooth and that things don’t always turn out how you expect…

My Review: Jo

"Bridge Over the Atlantic"  is the debut novel from new Author, Lisa J Hobman and I really enjoyed it. It was about love and heartbreak and I read most of it with tears in my eyes (at times there were big, ugly tears) so be warned. Keep a box of Kleenex handy.

The story followed Mallory's up's and downs in her journey of finding love and it definitely tugged at my heart strings.  Mallory was a character I could really empathise with. This girl just wasn't lucky when it came to love. She was curvaceous in appearance and lacked a lot of self confidence.

When Sam and Mallory's paths crossed, Sam was instantly attracted to her (curves and all). One date led to another and before I knew it, they'd fallen madly in love. This man loved everything about Mallory and it made my heart swell when he'd tell her how much he loved her curves:

"You're the way a women should be. Don't ever think that you are not exactly
what men want; what I want. Popsicle sticks do nothing for me.
Curves what turn me on. And man do yours turn me on"

I can't really say much more about the story without spoiling it but there are twists I wasn't expecting. If you do find yourself crying buckets of tears throughout just keep reading because Mallory does eventually find her happy ever after, leaving a perfect ending.

Lisa J Hobman has written a very touching story that keeps you involved until the end.
I rated "Bridge Over the Atlantic" 4 Hearts
