Coming THIS FALL.

"Edee Reed thought she had the perfect life…
A simple life, a great family, good friends, married to a handsome and loving man…
She had a roof over her head, food in her belly and love in her heart…
Until him…
Until Ashford Bradley Keating, II walked into her simple life and turned her whole world upside down, inside out, leaving it crumbed in pieces at her feet."

***Beginning of Teaser***

Keating's shadowed eyes bored into mine, his expression…one I didn’t recognize but not being familiar with the meaning behind his hard gaze didn’t make the stark intensity of it any less uncomfortable. It was…there was…my god, was it desperation?

Yes.

Despite his cold and hard exterior, there something darkly desperate in his eyes…

Then his lips split into a wide, genuine smile and I stopped breathing and just stared. Even with a tiny speck of blueberry juice smeared on his bottom lip, he was breathtaking.

“Jackson Monroe is a lucky man,” he said softly, his deep voice sliding silkily over my tired skin, rejuvenating it, sending ripples of sensation throughout my body, leaving me feeling somewhat drugged and…

I breathed in and quickly shook my head. “Here,” I said, grabbing a napkin from one of several metal dispensers lining the counter and holding it out for him to take. “You have…something…”

I trailed off and pointed to my own bottom lip and his eyes dropped to my mouth. And I felt that look, felt it slip inside past my parted lips with the delicate precision of a thief unseen in the night. The heady intrusion whooshed inside of me, filling my lungs alongside my sharp intake of air and my already drugged body surged with a base, hormonal response.

Nearly shaking, I jerkily waved the napkin around, silently begging him to take it so I could run from him, from his haunting eyes and smile full of secrets…

Just as I was about to snatch my hand back, both of his shot out, capturing both my hand and the napkin between them. As he slowly pulled the napkin from my grip, several of his fingertips trailed purposely slowly against my palm, touching, tracing…

“A very lucky man,” he repeated, releasing me abruptly and bringing the napkin to his mouth.

Then he was suddenly on his feet, pulling out his wallet and setting several bills down on the counter-top. Without another glance my way, he spun on his heel and turned and within seconds was gone, the swaying bells on the door chiming his departure.
